Shuttle/Taxi MIA to Port

Hello. My husband and I recently book a cruise on Carnival departing in May. We're on a budget but don't mind having to spurge a little on the more important stuff. I wanted to get an idea on how much it would cost for us to get from MIA to the port. I did a little research and I've decided that we don't want to book the cruise line shuttle due to so many bad reviews. My other options are to grab a taxi/uber when we get there or possibility look into other shuttle services. Our flight lands around 8am.

 

What would you guys recommend? Thank you in advance.

I believe  the taxi is a still a flat rate  $27 plus tip

 Or if you use UBER  that might work

Nope, not a flat rate anymore, is on the meter now.

Assuming you wait for luggage etc, At around 10am

UberX range $25 - $28 

UberXL range $38-$50 

about 30 minutes on the road at that time

Hi,

In March we took our first ever Uber from MIA to Port of Miami around 9:30am and it was $29. plus tip. That was for UberX for 2 adults with 2 carryons.

On the return we took a taxi for ease, and that was $50. plus tip (seemed expensive ?) I wish it were still a flat rate but it’s not.

Taxi on the same route will be about $30+ on the meter.

Update: For the sake of my sanity that morning, we took the taxi to the port. It was $47 including tips. There was slow heavy traffic due to construction.

 

On the way from the port around 9:30am, we did a quick research and found a price dropped from Uber from $30+ to $22 plus tips so we book that right away.
