Why can't Princess be more creative and come up with some more unique names?

Because it is maritime tradition to reuse names, and previous names are

already trademarked, saving the expense of vetting and registration.

Since the Discovery Princess is moving from the West Coast to Australia for fall 2025 and spring 2026, does anybody have a thought on wether or not the new Star Princess could move to the West coast rather than the Caribbean after it relocates from the Mediterranean to the US?

I don't think so. The odds that the Royal will just take the place of Discovery in LA are much higher and it's simpler to execute.

There's a higher chance, in my opinion, that Star might become a year-round Caribbean vessel. Just a little instinct of mine, but I could be very wrong still. There's clearly become an even bigger emphasis on the deployment in the region over the past year within the industry.

Your points are very good.  It does make senses that the Royal will replace the Discovery.   Since we live much closer to the West Coast, it would be wonderful to see the Star there.  I guess we can always hope! 🤞

The construction of Star Princess reached a major milestone today with laying of the keel. The 500-ton keel was ceremoniously lowered into position in the building dock, where it will remain until its float-out. A Princess Medallion was also welded into the ship, believed to bring good luck.
