No, but you might find King Crab ashore for $80 or more.    There are severe restrictions on fishing for Red King Crab.   There is a small allotment for Golden King Crab.   The supply is insufficient to supply cruise ships.

No King Crab last year on the ship.  Last year the jackets were also blue (no choice).

Thanks. I was hoping to have a chance to try the fresh ones. Last year, on the Quest's galley lunch, King Crab legs were served, but they were the frozen ones.

Made it home late last night

 

No King Crab on the ship. Lots of seafood options on the menu's in the Restaurant each evening.

 

Another amazing Seabourn cruise - this time with the family which made it even more special then we could have imagined. Laundry day today!

If you find them on a cruise, they will always be the frozen ones. King Crab season is in October-Janaury, when there are no cruise ships in Alaskan waters. (Golden King Crab can sometimes be caught from the middle of February to the early June.) Some major Red King Crab fisheries were closed this past winter due to stock being below the threshold set by the Alaskan Department of Fish and Game, so king crab is more scarce and more expensive than ever.
