Cocoa Beach Shuttle beware

 Share

Recommended Posts

On a recent use of their service I booked a shuttle to go from Days Inn to the Port for a private shuttle for 6, I was quoted a price for the shuttle without incident and sent a confirmation for a 10:30 pickup so as to be slightly ahead of rush to get checked in..

At 10:30,,, no shuttle, I rechecked confirmation, yep everything looked in order.. 10:35 I had callto re verify.. everything was in order,,,, according to whoever answered phone , 10:40 I called and to my surprise here is where things took a turn the wrong direction…I was told that they do not book private shuttles to port and whoever took reservation did not know what they were talking about…and had not right booking a private shuttle.. I was then told our shuttle would be there momentarily,,,,,, a shared shuttle arrived and called my name party of 6. The driver said he was overbooked, but would make it work… a gentleman forgot something at the previous stop and ran back to retrieve as we waited to get a seat.. To make it work a young man had to sit on his fathers lap,, we arrived at port finally around 11:10,,,,, not impressed as lobby had way more guests then I expected….I have sent 4 emails to Cocoa Beach shuttle to see why the mixup. And no reply….This is the reason for my post….

We had a similar experience last month with Cocoa Beach Shuttle. The driver arrived significantly past our confirmed pickup time and we had to wait for 2 other parties. (We were also led to believe we had booked a private shuttle) All in, it took 4 hours from baggage claim to our hotel check-in.
No response to emails requesting an explanation.

Thank you both for posting your experiences!    This forum has always been so helpful to those of us cruising from a new port or with a new cruise line.

We had a much more positive experience with Cruise Control shuttle from PC to MCO last month.   Their dispatch and driver were both texting me with precise information about when & where they would pick us up.

I had originally booked with Cruise Control. The airline changed our flight times, and Cruise Control wasn’t available at the new time. I should have taken it as a sign that Cocoa Beach Shuttle was the only company with availability on short notice..

We had booked a shuttle Round trip for my wife & me from MCO to PC & a return from PC to MCO for 7 of us . We had a great driver going down she text to say where she would be waiting & to give her a call when we got our bags . We had no issues at all .On the way back with the whole family , again we were text while on the boat where they would be . We all did self assist went to the meeting place & were met by a nice woman showing which van we were in & showed us our driver. Again no issues . I would use them again

  Sorry you had an issue

Just booked cocoa beach shuttle for a Christmas cruise for a roundtrip. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!! We had a party of 6 going from the Days Inn to Port Canaveral. There were also at least 12 other people at the Days Inn also booked with them.  The Days Inn offers a stay and cruise package. For an additional $25 per person, Days Inn contracts with cocoa beach shuttle for transportation. The supposed pick-up time was 11:30 - NO SHOW. Numerous calls went unanswered. The Days Inn desk had no information on the shuttle. YES, Days Inn is a 3rd party contracting with the shuttle, but Days Inn is taking the money so Days Inn should be more involved. At 12:30 some others waiting called Uber and left, still no cocoa beach shuttle. Further calls got a response that one of their vans had a breakdown. That's like saying my dog ate my homework. They claim to have over 4o vans operating. At 1:15 we called Uber and left. Have no idea if cocoa beach shuttle ever arrived. On the return trip there were 6 ships in port. Needless to say, it was VERY busy. No cocoa beach shuttle waiting upon our return. Once again there were a number of people also waiting for cocoa beach shuttle. Some going to the airport and some like us going to a hotel. Numerous calls got voicemail. Tried to get an Uber or other transportation, no luck. The port was so busy, nothing was available. 2 hours after our scheduled pickup time the cocoa beach shuttle arrived. No apology, no explication, NOTHING. We were lucky in that the shuttle that arrived was for us. Others waiting had to continue to wait for "their" shuttle. Would NEVER use cocoa beach shuttle again.
