Getting off the ship in Fort Lauderdale after a transatlantic

Is the timing of getting off the ship any different with a transatlantic vs your every day caribbean cruise ending in Fort Lauderdale? With the facial recognition, we've never spent much time getting to the airport the last few years but wondering if the process is slower since you're getting off a transatlantic?

It has always been the same for us regardless if it is a 7N or TA.  We do love how close the port is to the airport.

It can take a little longer because most of the time the crew has to go thru customs/immigration.  Plan on a short delay just in case Murphy's Law raises its ugly head.  😁

Excellent. Wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything with our noon flight. We always self carry and will likely try to be some of the first off anyway.

You're pretty safe with a Noon flight.

Thanks! I'm the one who books a 10am flight out of FLL after a caribbean cruise. Playing it safe this time lol.

Noon flight is no problem if you get off early, but customs is a ZOO. No facial recognition like a normal closed loop cruise.  EVERYONE has to process manually via customs agent.
