Has anyone just walked around the port and the city center and if so is it worth it?  We have been to this port before and have previously done excursions.

Yes, I did just that in 2011.  It is a cute little town.  Some of us stopped for coffee and rolls in a coffee shop and it was delightful.  It can also be a beach day if it is warm enough.

I would love a beach day on our January cruise.  We will be there on January 13.  Do you have any suggestions for the beach day?  Thank you,  Cherie

The beach is right next to the dock, so you can walk to it.  It looked quite nice to me.
