MSC Dining Question

Hi everyone,  We just booked a last minute cruise on the World Europa and have a couple of question about dining.

How hard is it to switch if you don't like the time you were assigned?

Is one time generally more popular than another?

Are you assigned a table with other people or can you generally get a table for two if you want?

Is specialty dining something you book once on the ship? I don't see any specialty restaurants listed on the website or app.

This is our first time on MSC, we have been on a few other lines but I know they all run their dining differently

Thanks in advance!

Kelly

We used a travel agent for the first time and he grabbed the last room for us, so I am going to assume bottom of the barrel.  Nothing is included so I would say Bella based on what I read on the website

Very last minute for us!

It does not seem to be printed on our travel docs/confirmation.

Chances are you in Bella or Fantastica.  Do you have a cabin number?  What type cabin?  Likely you will have assigned dining.  I don’t know if World Europa has two or three dinner seatings.  But there will be a notation in the dining times on the initial program when you board.  Also likely you will be assigned a shared table.   But note the dark print on the dining time picture I am posting.  This is for Seaside, which has three dinner seatings.

We just got off Seaside after a 7 night cruise. Our first with MSC. We were assigned 5:15 dining which was too early for us. Our reservation was linked with another couple. As soon as we boarded we went to the business center area and asked to change to 7:15 which was no problem at all. There was quite a line behind us so I am not sure if everyone was able to change times. We were assigned a table for just the 4 of us which is what we wanted.

Thanks for all the information everyone, very useful!  Since we booked last minute, we will likely get what we get, but we will try to change as per cbfb above.  Business center area - is that basically guest services?

Thanks again!

Kelly
