we have always tendered to Waitangi. It's a 15 minute walk along the beach to the jetty at Paihia and the businessmen's association usually puts on a shuttle bus.

I spent my childhood in The Bay so if you have any questions - shoot.

We will be arriving at the Bay of Islands on 3/4/2024 aboard the Majestic Princess.  We are considering taking the ferry to Russell and having lunch at the Duke of Marlborough.  Will we have time to take a boat to The Hole in the Rock” (not the fast boat)?

Thanks for this idea…..we were having trouble deciding what to do there and excursions on our ship are so expensive.  We are taking the ferry over to Russell and have lunch reservations at the Duke of Marlborough.  It’s something fun and different to do than glow worms.

We go in February so if I remember I’ll come back and tell you how it went.

Depends on your ships embarkation time and when the boat leaves Paihia for the 4.5 hour tour. Russell is worth the trip and the Duke has a top menu.
