If you can, get Global Entry.  It's great when getting back to the states and you bypass the longggg Customs Line.

highly suggest global entry as well.  True game changer

After the Colosseum, we were needing a bite (funny how being in Italy does that😉) so we stopped at a busy restaurant Angelina Dei Fori dal 1947. Split a pizza with fresh tomato and basil. Yum! Washed it down with an Aperol spritz. IMG_2711.thumb.jpeg.906a9add7c6431b87aa0422e7de95160.jpegIMG_2708.thumb.jpeg.8e1b3e27a65b4ca61bf516d9ca7b5401.jpegIMG_2710.thumb.jpeg.e67eb5a0a832c6e594d99275bbe9c52d.jpeg

Why do I suddenly think I'm hungry and why am I suddenly craving pizza?🥴

Rain started to pour and we walked to the Trevi Fountain. Even with rain, it’s a zoo!IMG_2719.thumb.jpeg.1e33684d08d7e9b9162da93f477c80b4.jpegIMG_2713.thumb.jpeg.d90d10141a82bdd0f8e0c43a85bac796.jpeg

But in the movies it always shows a couple there with the whole fountain to themselves...😆

Once we cried uncle, our waiter cleared our table and brought limoncello shots with a little carafe of more limoncello. Nice!!IMG_2657.thumb.jpeg.112a2cec19a44c763a8c857384ca7075.jpeg

Limoncello...I LOVE limoncello.  I will get to Italy one day and it will be solely for limoncello!

I need to apologize to intrepid because we had reservations for L’altra Guanicia , but due to a lot of walking, rain, and adding in another taxi ride, we decided to find a place closer to home. I looked on Tripadvisor and found L’antica Fraschetta around the corner from our hotel. We were able to make 8 o’clock reservations and thank goodness we did because the place was packed and stay packed till we finished our meal at 9:45.

We started with a charcuterie board, linguine and clams for me, osso buco for Craig. He ordered a fried artichoke on the side. Everything was yummy, homestyle and well served. In fact, we enjoyed ourselves so much, we are having are meal after the cruise there. Beautiful! Now you guys have your “own” place !
If you have more nights in Roma.  Try the Trastevere area.  Its a beautiful authentic roman area with great outside restaurants that’s incredible affordable!

I don't know if I could stand all the crowds at the Trevi Fountain. 😳

We were there in September (last year) there were just a few people there.  Our pictures looked like we were the only ones and no it wasn't early in the morning!!

Hugs from Texas
