Good morning everyone.   Hope everyone who is cruising is  having a marvelous time. Eating healthy and winning big in the casino.
still no weighing. Anxious for hematology appt tomorrow.  To put the icing on my bad streak I got a jury summons they’ve changed the max age to 75.  Trying to eat better.

Thanks for starting the thread Izena - Please let us know how your appointment goes tomorrow - I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers that everything will be ok.  Sorry you got the jury summons - I got one last year while I was doing radiation, so summons was canceled.

I finally realized that today was Thursday when I woke up this morning - so I actually weighed myself.  I am down 1.6# ... I would love to lose 16# more, before March, but will be satisfied with whatever I manage to lose.  Realized the other day that I am 36# more than at my lowest weight, but am also 41# less than my highest weight.  I find that I'm more comfortable having a little extra weight being (a little) older than I did in my 20's.

Hope everyone has a good week.  Jan

Izena good luck tomorrow hopefully no more bad news.

Jan congrats on your lost this week.

I've lost 6lb this week. Most of that was water weight from my trip to Texas. I was hoping to be at my goal weight before my big family cruise but now my two cousins are trying to get pregnant which means we need to move the cruise from March 2025 to February or March 2024. So no way I’ll reach my goal by then but I won’t be too far if I keep up a good rate of weight loss. I’m 1/3 done and should be reaching 2/3 if we cruise in March. It’s going to be insane though here over the next several months because of my work schedule while trying to fit in work trips and vacations. I’ll have to make some big batches of soup and freeze to make sure I have good food while working long hours.

I've been back from our cruise/vacation for 2 weeks, have been so busy catching up with work and home! I weighed exactly the same after, as I did when we left - I was very happy with that. I did a lot of walking and stairs on the ship which I'm sure helped. I enjoyed my meals but found I was able to be moderate and not overeat. I also used the ship's scales several times and it was motivating to not see gains.

Since returning home 2 weeks ago, I've lost 2 lbs.

Something is going on with my legs - I had no problem with stairs and walking a lot while we were gone. Since returning home, I have taken several morning walks but my legs just feel weird, a little shaky and slightly crampy. Going down stairs is when I really notice it...not sure what in the world is going on. I've never had this problem. My right ankle (still has a screw in it from a fall 20+ years ago) is so very sore, don't know what triggered it but it does happen from time to time. Just so strange that everything was fine with my legs, and now not so. Very frustrating! If it doesn't clear up soon, I'll have to get checked out.

Our next cruise is a year away, so now my challenge will be to keep off the 47 lbs I've lost this year!

Have a great weekend, everyone.

Terri

Yay the hematologist thinks the virus that trigger’s pharyngitis was the culprit.   Repeat labs I was back in normal range — what a relief.     Forgot to get letter to get out of jury duty so I’m going to check the box that I’m not of sound mind and good moral character.

glad everyone is doing well with losing wt.

I’m going to weigh tomorrow find the gains for this year and start over.
