When you are craving for them and options are limited, these will suffice, in a pinch. Better than the Marcuese(now mainland China) Portuguese version ... all too sweet for our taste.

T minus 2 to embarkation, 10 AM in BCN and we are off to roam around. Taxi van outside our hotel, jumped in and 4 of us to look for breakfast across the neighborhood.

Lunch break and feet needs to get rested, a quick taxi ride from La Sagarda Familia over for 4 of us

 

 

 

NCL ships, including the Prima, just cannot do these, even if it is a part of Specialty Dining ... Not your PF Chang or Michelin starred fine dining, just basic comfort food.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

This place was recommended to us ... total came in under 100 €

The Viva ported in Ponta Delgada today. It was overcast but no rain, temperature in the mid 60s. Hope big sister Prima make it here. 
 

 

Pingo Doce is my choice of supermarket when in Portugal. Where do you go?

None there yesterday ... and we bypassed the LV Store this afternoon, roped line for crowd control except there's just a dozen plus standing outside, waiting to get inside - besides, none looked like pro buyers with empty suitcases looking to shop. Coach outlet stores got rid of the stupid lines long ago. 

 

The strong USD does made everything looked like bargains.

Thanks, indeed today's "mission accomplished"  We did the exterior touring & photo ops only as nobody wanted to deal with crowds even with skip-the-line option. Maybe next time on another TA if and when we come again. 

 

No need to apologize, once you highlight the quoted sections - highlight the photo(s) and press (Delete) key & should remove the photos, make the post shorter - give it a try next time.

We found an ALDI store a block behind our hotel here, in addition to half a dz. convenience 7-11-like Mart everywhere. There's an indoor (farmer's) marketplace about 4 blocks north of the cruise terminal where locals buy & shop.
