Newcastle parking

Sorry if this has been asked before, just booked with Fred for the first time and we are cruising out of Newcastle, has anybody any experience of car parking at the port , is it safe and secure as quite wary about something happening to my car? Thanks

We booked via Fred and yes it is secure parking just a few minutes walk from the embarkation point.
 

You self park (retain your keys) and they take your cases that point, you walk the couple of minutes to check in.

 

The parking is behind gates, cctv etc.

Reiterate the above post. 
One of the easiest car parking we have used. 
Using it again next March. 
We stay at The Premier Inn night before the cruise, which is a stones throw from the Car Parking.

Some years ago we sailed from Newcastle. We stayed at the Premier Inn the night before boarding and left the care in their car park for the duration.  We did check with them beforehand but there was no charge. I think we may have made a donation to their chosen charity.

Does anyone know how easy / difficult it is to get from Newcastle train station to the cruise port, is there a local train from the main train station is it easier by Taxi?  We're coming from the south coast and not sure whether to drive or get the train.

Well the local metro does have stations closer to the port, they are  not that close so you would still need a taxi.  I would suggest just taking a taxi from newcastle central station.
