B2B Cruise

I am doing my first B2B in January on the Sunrise.   It is a 4 day and a 5 day in which I have the same cabin.   Do I need to get off ship?   I think on one cruise I was speaking to a B2Ber and they had an public area where they had to wait but I dont know if it varies with the sailing.    Will I get a new sail and sign card for the second leg?   Any other tips?

Thanks in advance.

Since you are sailing from a US port, the ship is required to ‘zero down’ on turnaround day before any new guests can board.  They will send you a letter the day before with instructions.  Usually they will tell you a time and place to meet to take care of the formalities.  If there is a large group, sometimes CBP comes aboard to do it, but just a few they may walk you off and through immigration, then back on.  If they are using facial recognition they may prefer to do it in the terminal.
You would think it would be an opportunity to sleep in.  However, there will be noise in the corridors from departing guests, and food venues will close early, sometimes by 8:30 or 9am.  EM

We have done conquest and it was most organized with a specific meeting location & time provided the day before. We were cared for until everyone but us were confirmed to be off the ship and in our case the Hotel Director and his designee escorted us off the ship to the pier and we made a loop de loop and passed through the facial recognition scanner and right back aboard.  We then waited in the atrium bar with free mimosas until general boarding started. When then proceeded on our own to muster station checkin and given we had the same cabin as well we were able to immediately access the cabin if we so desired. We were given our new cabin cards while having mimosas’s and they had a photo opportunity with a back to back background.   EASY

man, we just disembarked the Venezia earlier this month and i cant remember when the buffet closed.  i know we left the room at 830.   went to the buffet.  found a table and then got in line to eat.  about 15 mins after we were done it shut down.  rapidly.  a few folks were outta luck who arrived late.

im thinking 930 close but might be 9.

clear as mud, eh?

B2B on the Sunrise last December over NYE and the following cruise.  We gathered in the dining room and disembarked as a group -- maybe 12 or 15 ppl -- went straight thru customs, turned around and reboarded in 20 minutes flat.  They took us straight to the Atrium Bar where we were plied with bottomless mimosas until we were ready to take a nap, went to the room and found a little surprise gift waiting for us.   A very nice experience for first time B2Bers.

We love b2b's. Yes you will get a new card but if you collect them as souvenirs be sure to ask for the old one back. We did our first b2b on our first cruise and they took our old cards so now we have all our cards but the very first. We were the only ones on our ours and had the ship to ourselves about and hour to hour and a half before we seen another passenger on board. It was nice. It's a good time to get in the hot tub without any other guest. Be sure to have your bathing suit on when you leave your cabin if you want to do this. You won't be allowed back in the cabin until they have cleaned them all and open the doors back up unless you have status. We were walked off through customs and back on but we've never been on one with a large group. Our next one is a b2b2b on the Carnival Celebration and we hear they can get quite a crowd of b2b'ers. Like others we had to wait in a public area before they walked us off. We got all you wanted mimosas until they started loading other passengers and wine and fruit basket when we got back to our cabin. We also got a free bottle of wine at dinner but that may be because we were celebrating our Anniversary as well.
