Mscruisin Posted January 4 #1 Share Posted January 4 My husband and I have booked casino offers in the past for “free” rooms plus taxes. I’m interested in a future “free” casino cruise I’ve been offered. The problem is my husband isn’t free at that time. Has anyone been able to book these casino offers solo. If so what are the charges? Thanks for any information.
Gunther1 Posted January 4 #2 Share Posted January 4 I did….I just asked my HAL PCC and she said yes. The taxes, etc, were still just for one. My philosophy: it never hurts to ask !!
Mscruisin Posted January 5 Author #3 Share Posted January 5 That means there was no penalty for booking as a single. Good to know. I’ll check if I go ahead with the booking. Thanks!
Rare CineGraphic Posted January 5 #4 Share Posted January 5 I booked one today....easy easy. I only paid the taxes and fees for 1 person, and a tad extra to upgrade to Club Orange.
Rare Haljo1935 Posted January 5 #5 Share Posted January 5 Cruise I'm currently on is solo w/no surcharge. However, when I asked about upgrading, I was told it would be double.
Laminator Posted January 5 #6 Share Posted January 5 You can book solo and then add a family member or friend down the road if you wish.
jenp123 Posted January 5 #7 Share Posted January 5 With casino deals, i have always been charged double the rate and taxes/fees for 1. So if it is free, it is just taxes and fees. If it is the reduced fare, (I just booked a $199pp deal) it was $199 x2 plus taxes and fees for 1. I have added on club orange in the last and that was just for 1 as well.
