Whom to Write to in Exec Office

Recommended Posts

I want to send an email to an executive at Celebrity alerting them to the situation with Brazil visas.

I am not asking to get involved with an individual visa situation or the visa criteria.

Brazil has delayed their visa until April 10th.   The website does not work. The visa was supposed to be required January 10th but the last minute Brazil delayed it.

I am asking celebrity to work with their colleagues and other cruise lines and airlines to push Brazil to either immediately fix the ability to apply for the visa or to postpone the visa until such time as the website works.

The only topic of conversation in the Roll Call On Brazil affected cruises is the visa.  It puts incredible stress on passengers.

So whom do you suggest I write to and what is their email?

THANK YOU!!

First suggestion would be ExecutiveOffice@celebrity.com.  I have found them to be quite responsive.  Other suggestion is Lhodges-bethge@celebritycruises.com.  Good luck!

Perhaps someone at the US STATE DEPARTMENT could be able to help?

This needs to come from the industry.
The reason for the visa is because Australia United States and Canada will not allow Brazilian cease of free travel so State Department will not get involved.

I have already gone that route. They basically washed their hands of it. Their argument was that visas are the responsibility of the individual and they deal with visas with many countries thus this one is no different. I really dont think they understand the extent of this problem and for people who are not on cruisecritic how on earth would they figure this out. I suggested they get their legal dept involved. They are just not interested in assisting. Passengers. In fact they arw not even letting people know that a visa is required. My suspicion is that after final payment they will. I am always suspicious of intentions.

Key reason Brazil postponed the visa requirement until April was cruise passengers and presumably other tourists were up against deadlines and the approval system had failed. Industry pressure had a lot to do with it. Seems like the rule will either be fixed or abandoned by 2024-2025 S.A. cruise season.

I wouldnt take that risk of assuming anything. We have 3 months of lead time. They are approving some visas so it has more to do with the way people are sending in the files I think. If this was done at a consulate or embassy we would just fill out a form and give them photos.

That is why I want a contact to email asking for industry orgs to get involved, not involvement at individual level.

Consulate is not an option.  Currently the system is not registering new uploads.

I know it is not an option. I was suggesting it is easier doing it manually via paper than a system that basically doesnt work online. VHS are an agent for the Brazilian Govt and have created a nightmare on this site. I tried a file that didnt upload but my others did. That was last Friday.

Try CLIA. The other cruiselines have taken initiative to assist passengers. HAL, Norweigan, Regent and Oceana all are involved in some manner helping their clients. Celebrity for whatever reason choose not to. I have sent it to the CEO and they called me back. I really dont think they understand the magnitude of the problem. This is not an individual that cant get a visa because if his/her own problems, this is a failed visa program whereby a simple process is not being accomplished.

That is why I'm asking who in the executive offices will be proper to write to, So they can work with CLIA.

Generally speaking it is not the CEO.  Is there a VP of Passenger experience?

No clue sorry. I also went to Captains Club before CEO and they had a similar dismissive answer, so I suspect it is well known in the company.
