Celebrity Cruise - inndonesia and e-visa

 Share

Recommended Posts

Hi!

we are going on a cruise from singapore to Bali, and received just an email from Celebrity that we need to apply for an visa. Do anyone know, are we able to do it when we arrive to the shore? or if it is a must to do in advance? Feels strange that doing the application online it requires bankstatments etc.

Happy to hear any experiences how it works!

@danilija

You must do it in advance.

Make sure you're on the proper site, and applying for the proper visa.  There are many sites that are not the true government site, and charge fees atop the visa fee.  If you're being asked for bank statements, you're not doing the correct visa.  You want a B1, Tourist Visa.

Here is the right site:

https://molina.imigrasi.go.id/

The process of uploading the passport photos can be a bit daunting, but otherwise it's pretty straight forward.  Once you have the visa, you'll also need the landing card, whcih can only be done withing three days of arrival.

Omeinv's post is great

No E- visa in hand and you could be denied boarding.

Much like Australia,  be careful to go to the official government site to avoid paying a bunch of unnecessary fees.

Do not worry about a return ticket.  Indonesia just wants to be sure you have a way to leave.  Your cruise ship is your return ticket for that purpose.

PS, you are definitely on a scam site.  No bank info is required.  Only a credit card to pay the fee

It is not a scam site since the link came from Celebrity itself. We just chose first the wrong visa but have the right one now BUT, there is something wrong with the website itself. When it asks for where we are going to stay (hotel/other/villa/home etc) it doesnt activate the street adress columns and when you are not able to fill those fields in, you vant go to the next page ??

You will need to clear your browsing history cache.  Shutdown and restart your device.

Might be easier to visit local library where they can walk you through the process.

If you put in the postal code 80222, everything else will probably  automatically populate.  If not enter the following:

(ship's name)

Bali cruise terminal,

Jalan Dermaga Ii,

Pelabuhan Benoa 80222 Denpasar Bali.

We were with Harris on a set of cruises which required several visas.  For the Indonesian visa we used the website he provided in post #2.  And check your Cruise Critic roll call for your cruise as a fellow passenger may post how they completed the application.  The roll call for the Edge sailing on November 25, 2023 has a number of helpful posts regarding the Indonesian visa application.
