Neotericisis Posted March 7 #1 Share Posted March 7 Hi guys, Does anyone have MDR dinner menus for the Meraviglia 7 day cruises out of Brooklyn? I am sailing on March 24th and the ports are Port Canaveral, Ocean Cay, and Nassau Bahamas. I would like to book some specialty dining restaurants, but I want to do it on nights when the MDR menu isn’t the best. Its my understanding that day 2 is the elegant night, so we’ll definitely be in the MDR that day. I know its best to reserve dining as early as possible so knowing the menu ahead of time would greatly help. I have a balcony Fantastica cabin on the 12th flr., so unfortunately I won’t have access to Aurea or YC perks. Thanks!!

I am curious to see the images of at least one of them since there seems to e some difference of opinion on social media on whether the $5 second entrée surcharge applies to all entrées or just some of them which are marked on the menu (on an earlier scan I saw, people were confusing the "item may be undercooked" asterisk with the second entrée surcharge flag). . But I can wait until Sunday.
Frequent_Cruiser Posted March 8 #14 Share Posted March 8 There is indeed a mentioning of “A surcharge of $5 for second entrée or more applies” on the menu after the regular entrees. It appears that the surcharge would apply to all additional regular entrees.

The asterisks on individual items are the typical "Eating undercooked food may be unhealthy" warning. Edited March 8 by MisterBill99
gizfish Posted March 9 #16 Share Posted March 9 Keep in mind that pasta (and most likely) entree salads can be ordered as starters without incurring the extra fee. Did not try it with the salad, but the pastas were always the entree size. Also no one has reported back if the fee is flat rate for any more than one entree or applies to each additional entree as the wording is ambiguous. No parking issues, plenty of spots. We sailed YC so we waiting for maybe up to 30 minutes while in YC lounge.

All the other entrees are $5 extra as a second entree.

In September we were able to order the pasta or risotto from the nightly entree section as a starter with no extra fee. The lasagna was huge and delicious. The Bolognese from the classic section of the menu was also great.

I didn't try ordering the entree lasagna or risotto as a starter. I was actually on in January not December as I first posted.
