Embarkation Luggage

I've never stayed on the Haven, but also never have a problem going to my room and dropping off my luggage.  I used to drop it off in the storage area (casino, Asian restaurant) until I discovered I can just take it to my room.  I just sit it in the closet to make sure it's not in the way.  I just have to remember to take out a cigar, my cutter, and matches so I can have a smoke after getting lunch

They tend to close the security doors now so no access to most cabins unless you happen to find a back way in.

As to lost luggage, only seen a lost luggage flier on 1 cruise out of 20+.

I'm pretty sure that they would have given it back to you at the end of the cruise.

Oh yes, I could have gone a picked it up at the end of the cruise, but it didn't seem worth the effort on the last night.  It was not anything special and I had another at home to replace it.

Greetings. I wanted to do the March 20 cruise but was unable.  I am going on the 4/20 nine day.  I was wondering about your experience and especially about debarkation.  What time do they start to disembark? Are there transfers available to the Punta Cana Airport? I wasn't able to book ship transfer back to the airport.  Anything else that would be important to know for a solo cruiser? Thanks in advance, Barbara

People were able to purchase NCL transfers to either airport onboard. They started listing the ability to do so in the daily planner. One of my cruise mates paid $47 for Punta Cana. Her debarkation time was 7:30 AM. This was right after the self assists.

I had a great time. We had a large solo group (10-13 on any given night) and Emanuel was the solo host. He was fantastic.

I’ve cruised four times with NCL and I received once a flier indicating someone didn’t receive their luggage.  The flier asked us to check our cabin including under the bed for the lost luggage.  Luggage occasionally do go missing on cruises.

Our big bags have clothes, and toiletries. Our carry ons have meds, paperwork, valuables and electronics. If my bag got lost I would not be happy but as some of my dresses are 20+ years old (still look fabulous so can't pass them on) it might be an opportunity to retire them. I don't travel with "carefully curated cruise wear." Or vintage clutch bags owned by Russian royalty.
