Thank you for a wonderful review. The review provides a wealth of knowledge and is very enjoyable to read.  I do have a question. It appears from the menus that you have posted that there is no champagne by the glass covered by the premium extra package. Can you confirm this? If so, this is a big change from our November 2023 cruise when one brand of champagne (by the glass) was covered by the premium extra package.  Your response is much appreciated.

And someone has annoyed Customs and Boarder Protection. And with the large numbers of non-US guests, the line will be massive.

Probably not. We’ll be downstairs in the customs hall while embarkations will start normally upstairs. We could have requested a late disembarkation because of our late flight, looks like we’ll be down in a line.

Love all the pictures, We are on the Seascape in September first MSC cruise, doing a YC Interior. I noticed that in your post with all the leadership on the Ship, Pedro Serra was listed as cruise director, but look like the cruise directors name is Ted. Do you know if Pedro is on board?

Hello  -  Reading through this thread and see that you mention you are on in September.  We are on the 9/14 sailing in the YC as well.  This will be our second MSC cruise.  Our first was on the Seashore in Sept 2022 in the YC.  We loved it and I am sure you will too.

Contrary to the notice left in the rooms, CBP was using facial recognition scans today. As fast as you could walk through the zig zag lines, smile at the camera and you’re welcome to the USA and on your way.

Thanks Bird.  Really enjoyed your review…so much so I’ve been seriously looking at a late summer 7-day on the Seashore.

MSC offers a few little nice surprises…like cocktail table service complete with snacking nuts, or the Build Your Own Bloody Mary in the buffet at breakfast. And, IMO, their buffet at breakfast and lunch has a broad food selection.  2x daily room service, a wide variety of main theater evening entertainment.  These newcomers to the Americas market seem to be giving their competitors a run for the money.

Thanks again for your unbiased review.

As The Birds disembarked, the rain and lightning started. The ramp at MIA was closed for a long time causing  a lot of flight cancellations and extended delays. Our flight home that was supposed to be at 11:00 am didn’t happen until 9:30 pm. And as of Sunday morning, our luggage is still trying to find its way home from Miami. We spent a leisurely day in an airport lounge. But, we fear that many day-of-cruise travelers missed their cruises yesterday.

Thank you very much.

Before having smartphones, I remember being in a cruise and having always the Bridge camera on TV except sometimes for Navigation.

Last numeros are TV channels (nothing in French nor Portuguese, BTW)

What did you had in 11-17 channels?. Just images?
