Overnight at Tender Port; how does that work?

Recommended Posts

So I’m doing a Norway cruise in September..and it’s an overnight stop in Alta; where I booked a Northern Lights excursion that STARTS at 8pm..

do they run water shuttles all night long? Or once I’m off the ship..I’m stuck on land until the next day?

I don’t know how this type of situation is being handled post-Covid, but on an overnight we did years ago in Europe, the tenders ran til something like 11 PM or 1 AM and then stopped til early morning. You were allowed to stay off ship all night, but you had no way of getting back on til they started running again the next morning.

Princess will send a paper notice of the water shuttle hours the night before the arriving into the tender port.   The notice will tell you what time the last shuttle is for the night, what time the water shuttles resume the following day, and that you should make plans to stay in town for the night if you miss the last water shuttle to the ship for the night.
