Latest Aqua experience

We haven't sailed in AQ in a few years and were wondering what is the latest experience sailing  primarily on Equinox. How is food in Blu?  Food in Blu was just OK last time we were on AQ (about 5 years ago), so we found that it was not worth the money. Now there are some cruises, that are reasonably priced, so we are considering go back to AQ.

All information is greatly appreciated.

I cannot speak for the Equinox, but I am just off the Summit and the food in Blu was the best I have had from Blu in years.  We were able to order from the MDR menu as well, and the food from that menu was delicious as well.  We were a party of 6, and all were VERY happy in Blu.

Just off of Equinox last week in Aqua Class.  BLU was excellent.  The sit-down breakfast was wonderful and there were so many choices.  At Dinner - We always checked the main menu as well as the BLU menu and could order from either.  The starters were always interesting and small enough so that they didn't spoil the main meal.  On the nights that we didn't care for the duck or lamb - we could order something else from the other menu.  The restaurant was well appointed and quiet.  Service was efficient and friendly.  You will not be disappointed.

Last experiences on Solstice and Millennium. Food was good… but tbh Blu is not only about the food for us. Blu’s more relaxed ambiance and way more personal service still tops the loud and rushed MDR by far. Plus, we love breakfast at Blu.

Over the past couple years, there has been an increase in dishes involving poultry/game birds on the menu in Blu. We have been disappointed with the dessert offerings. Overall, the food comes out hot and requests have been granted. Breakfast is exceptional.   Service continues to be stellar.  Note that we were not able to order from the MDR on Equinox on our cruises.  This could be related to staffing issues and the management on duty at the time.

So great to hear all positive opinions. I am on the phone now to book AQ. It is only $106 over my balcony price. Something to look forward to.

Thank you all.

Well worth it at that price, IMHO.

Was in Aqua on Equinox for 19 days.  BLU was fabulous!  Food and service were worth every penny of the upcharge for Aqua.  Will do it again on Eclipse in January 2025.

We ordered from MDR several times during our 19 days in Aqua on Equinox!  I'm a fan of the shrimp cocktail so it had to come from MDR.  Once or twice we wanted something different so ordered from MDR.  No issues!
