Club Orange priority embarkation at Port Everglades.

Sorry if this has been overly discussed.  I searched but didn’t find anything.  What pearls of wisdom do you have regarding the Club Orange embarkation in Fort Lauderdale?  Additionally, what advise for the whole package.  We have cruised a lot, but have not sailed with HAL since 1992.  Yes, I was a child then 😉.  We did pre reserve a cabana for our 9 day holiday cruise.  Looking forward to all the music venues.

Just follow the signage to the priority area. Pretty straight forward.

Arrived at 10:45 in March.  Was escorted upstairs and seated with other priority guests.  Boarding began with those needing extra time.  Was on board before 11:30, was told rooms weren’t ready.  Went to my room anyway to drop my carry on.  Key was there.  Met steward in hall,  he said my room was ready.  Went up to Seaview pool to have a drink, relax and get into the cruising spirit.  Enjoy!

It works fine, just look for the Priority signs.  The Priority waiting room upstairs will be SRO, and will have an orderly embarkation with handicap first, through a separate gangway, shorter than the regular one.  The regular one moves quickly, too, as long as you have your correct bar code - I think it had to be on a piece of paper, not a device.

Our bar codes were on our phones and worked fine.

Well, then, it might have been the opposite and we had bits of paper and they didn't work, new ones were printed out for us.  (Senior moment?)

We had the Club Orange option last March on the Rotterdam embarking from Port Everglades.

Embarkation was quick and organized , as the other people have mentioned look for the Priority signs. The overall experience was very nice , especially the Club Orange dining room.

I found the dedicated line at customer service counter very useful , the tote bag very spiffy.

The consensus of those who have commented is that you get the best value when you have the Club Orange option on a pinnacle class ship as they are the only ships with the Club Orange dining room.

That's great you were able to add it! You should find the boarding process to go smoothly.

Fort Lauderdale has some of the smoothest embarkation procedures you're going to find. (I'm a bit biased because I live in Fort Lauderdale, but Port Everglades really does a nice job.)

 

We had Club Orange & Four Star priority boarding for our cruise earlier this month. We arrived at the terminal around 11:00 AM and were on the ship well before noon. We were given priority boarding #2. We probably could have gotten #1, but we didn't want to leave too early.

 

As people said, make sure you look for the priority boarding signs, so you are in the right lines. Boarding order was Pinnacle Suite, wheelchair assistance and Neptune Suites, then 4*, 5* and Club Orange.

 

We also had a Retreat Cabana, so you can read about it, the Club Orange dining room, and our 9 Day sailing here:

I read your whole report and enjoyed it very much. You have a great way with words.  We already reserved a cabana for the 9 days and were thrilled to be able to add CO.  We got a fantastic cabin with the CO upgrade with a huge balcony.  This will be our first time back on HAL since ‘92 and are looking forward to sailing on the Rotterdam.  
 

We are across alligator alley from Ft Lauderdale.  Nice to have a cruise with no flights involved.
