Specialty Restaurants Reservations - How many guests can we reserve for?

Recommended Posts

Hello, our time is approaching to make specialty dining reservations online for our cruise in late August and was curious if you could make reservations for more than just those in your stateroom.

We are traveling with two other couples, all on separate reservations. We would like to make reservations to include them (i.e. 6 for Cagney's) or can we only do it for us and then let them know the date and time we have and they would have to make a separate reservation. If this matters we have the free at Sea plus so we have 4 dinners.  Thanks.

You are just making a reservation for a number of people. The system doesn’t know who you are booking for, so your only limit is the table sizes that are available.

Mke sure you book any fixed fee places (Moderno or Teppanyaki) first as the system doesn’t always pick up that you have free at sea plus and may try to charge you for any places with a fee after you have reserved your first two meals, which could get expensive for 6 people. If that did happen then get one of the other people in a different room to try.

Assign one person (the one who has access earliest based on latitude status or room cabin type) to book all the reservations for the group. You can only book them in even numbered parties, so if you need a table for 7, just book the one for 8 and let them know when you get there only 7 will be eating.

Tables for large groups like that are hard to get - so book ASAP if you are planning on eating during the prime dining hours in the most popular restaurants.

I think the limit when you book online is a reservation for eight.  You may be able to arrange for more than that if you call the NCL reservations number.  Most ships have a few larger tables, some for 12 or more, or the staff can move tables together for large groups, certainly enough for the group size for @sbnuggie.
