Formal Nights

We are sailing on Beyond for an 8 night cruise to the ABC Islands.  How many formal nights are there and do you know what nights they are?

Don't know what nights they are, but on sailings with similar length there's normally 2 formal nights.

They are no longer called formal nights. Look for information about chic nights.  There should be two on your cruise.

EVENING CHIC

Each itinerary features one to two “formal” nights we call Evening Chic. Evening Chic means you dress to impress, glamorous and sophisticated in your own way, with a cocktail dress, skirt, slacks, or designer jean, an elegant dress top or blazer—some guests even pack a tuxedo or gown for onboard photos. The Daily program, delivered to your stateroom and available at the Guest Relations Desk, will be your guide to the correct attire each evening. If you do not wish to participate in Evening Chic, Smart Casual attire is acceptable for dining and theater.

That should say one to 2 to 3. Recently, we had 3 on a 13 night cruise on Silhouette.

Traditionally formal nights, no matter what a cruise line calls it, has been on sea days to allow a little extra time to get dressed and ready.  On a long port extensive itinerary, I don't know if that holds true.

They will still schedule two, using a day where the return to ship is earliest, like 4pm. They are also never on the final night.
