I have gotten glasses of water from the bar and filled my cup in the buffet on every cruise line I have sailed (RCL, Carnival, Disney, Princess).  No need to buy water anywhere.

I am a Water Quality Specialist, and the water onboard is better than just about anything you can buy in a bottle(or cardboard box).  It is purified through desalinization, and then reverse osmosis.  We bring our refillable cups and fill them at the buffet ice/water dispensers.  Just use their cups to fill yours.  Save yourself a nice chunk of $$.

I just want simple alcoholic drinks and I love using my reusable water bottle. hoping this will do with the "free" drinks package.

Definitely. We always get FAS and have never gone thirsty, my wife is especially a big fan of reusable water bottles and you can refill them in many places.
