JuniorCruiser Posted April 27, 2006 #26 Share Posted April 27, 2006 I must say the Bushwacker sounds very tasty. I'm gonna have to try them on our cruise ;) Can someone here tell me where i can find a good Apple Martini on the Legend? Hubby and I loved them on the Dawn :D Thanks, ~~Debbie~~
afairbro Posted April 27, 2006 #27 Share Posted April 27, 2006 I am confused, is the Fun Ship drink something different everyday or actually the name of 1 drink? The Fun Ship Special is the name of the drink. Red punchy drink with rum. Very ggod! It's all I drink.
jcl1975 Posted April 27, 2006 #28 Share Posted April 27, 2006 I have seen the price of beer, but not the price of mixed drinks.. whats the general price and are there specials? Sorry, Hijack over.
kitchencarol Posted April 27, 2006 #29 Share Posted April 27, 2006 I got all the ladies from our roll call hooked on the "Kiss on the Lips." It's made with mango mix, peach schnapps, and grenedine. NO RUM! Heidiho - do you have a recipe for Kiss on the Lips? I know the ingredients just not the amounts.
pcvtmom Posted April 27, 2006 #30 Share Posted April 27, 2006 Mojito, classic from Cuba's heyday. Hemmingway was said to enjoy them. Rum, soda water, lime, fresh mint, sugar. Actually freshens your breath while you drink! I have had them served both on the rocks and with crushed ice kind of like a frozen drink. I requested a Mojito on the Glory last summer and the bartender said they couldn't make one because they had no mint!!! I'm happy to find out that it's not fleetwide. I'll try again this summer on the Destiny.
pcvtmom Posted April 27, 2006 #31 Share Posted April 27, 2006 I will second the Bushwacker. Yum. After the introduction to them in St. Thomas 6 years ago, I was hooked! I make them at home now. (They are tasty on the ship, but not as STRONG as the ones in St. Thomas.)

lgerrish Posted April 30, 2006 #40 Share Posted April 30, 2006 We sat at the bar by the Sky Pool one evening with friends and the bartender would give us a taste of whatever he was mixing for others and we got hooked on the Bushwhacker. It's a "mudslide" concoction with a little extra zip! I'm thinking there was some amaretto, maybe Bailey's Irish Cream, but there was also something else in it. Anyway, it was pretty yummy!! Tina, if you see this message, can you remember what was in that tasty beverage? We indulged in quite a few of those on the remainder of our Victory cruise. NJ cruise mom Posted May 2, 2006 #43 Share Posted May 2, 2006 Must try Miami Vice (a swirl of strawberry daquari & pina colada) or a Twilight Zone (a swirl of some sort of melon liquor and pina colada). They're both very addictive! -Enjoy!! -Karen

I wrote this down after seeing it on another thread (but now I don't remember where I saw it): Bushwhacker: 2 oz. coconut rum 6 oz. Bailey's 4 oz. Kahlua 4 oz. Amaretto 2 oz. vodka Blend with ice, top with whipped cream, sprinkle with nutmeg
Pednurse Posted June 1, 2006 #45 Share Posted June 1, 2006 Kiss on the lips gets my vote. 1 part peach schnapps 4 parts mango mixer Put in a blender with ice like you would do a dacquari. Pour a little grenadine in the bottom of the glass and add mixture.
angelkisses Posted June 11, 2006 #46 Share Posted June 11, 2006 My Must Do List on Next Cruise 1. Try Kiss on the Lips 2. Try Miami Vice 3. Try Twilight Zone 4. Repeat Thanks for the great drink suggestions. I can't wait to try them.
kyrisong1 Posted June 13, 2006 #47 Share Posted June 13, 2006 The Fun Ship Drink is, I think the drink of the day. It changes daily, it tells in the Capers what the drink is that day. There may be one that is actually called the Fun Ship that I didn't see on our first cruise. But, I think one of the friends I met on the ship tried them all!!I have to second the Miami Vice! I loved it....can't wait for another one:D The red drink they are talking about I think, is the rum punch, it's awesome:D
