Clothing Optional/Toppless Areas 7-Mile Beach

Okay, I know I am probably opening up pandoras box with this thread, but does anyone know if there are any areas available for this:confused:

Zydeco is right. There are some islands in the Caribbean that are tolerant of topless/clothing optional beaches. Grand Caymen is not one of them.

There are some places in Jamaica and Mexico and some others where is ok on a Western Caribbean tour.

This is our first trip to GC, so we were unsure if it was okay or not.

We know about sunset in jamaica, so we will take in some sun there.

What about Cancun? We have been there the last 3 years, but have never found an area on the beach which allows it.

Guess we will just stay on the ship while in GC.

There are several beach clubs where topless sunbathing is the norm just north of last pier where the ferry boats dock in Playa del Carmen.

Sunset charges an extra $25 on top of the "inclusive"* day pass ($60) for the nude beach. We were just there.

 

 

 

* I think the management at sunset needs to look up the word "inclusive". Wifi? $6/hr extra. Lockers? $6 extra. Nude beach? $25 extra.

It happens on the ships, too..but it's not really allowed!

While I'm all for topless beaches, I can't beleive you would not go onto this beautiful island to see the beaches, water, town, etc. just because you can't go topless.

My sister and I were in GC at 7 mile beach a few years ago and 4 women parked themselves next to us on the beach and took off their tops. Illegal or not it happened.

 

When such incidents occur inevitably someone does call the police to have them tell the women to put their tops on. No surprise that no matter how busy things are there are always several officers available to attend a report of topless sunbathers. :p

 

Such incidents are most common on those few days when a European focused cruise ship such as from the MSC Cruises line is in port.

While I'm all for topless beaches, I can't beleive you would not go onto this beautiful island to see the beaches, water, town, etc. just because you can't go topless.

 

I agree. Cemetery beach is one of the most beautiful spots on earth!
