I like the size - 710 passengers - of this "new" addition to the fleet (formally a "R" ship). We're looking at a European summer cruise.

Does anyone know a little more about the ship than what's on the princess site and here at cruisecritic?

Specifically, will the ship have a personal choice dining room other than the specialty restaurants?

if you go to the Swan Hellenic website, you can get a "virtual tour" of the ship. When she moves over to the Princess fleet, dinners will be traditional, fixed seating (early and late). We are going on her in Nov/07 on her 24 day transatlantic from Rome to FLL. She will likely be set up just like her sisterships, the Pacifac and the Tahitian

The main (only?) difference between the Royal and the Pacific/Tahitian is that the Royal will have no mini-suites. We like the small ship opportunity for the Eastern Med--we be on her for the 6/25/07 trip.
