jeanbean Posted July 12, 2004 #1 Share Posted July 12, 2004 Will a tweezer in a carry-on bag cause problems at embarkation? I am bringing one for my emergency kit and not sure where I should pack it.
Nitemare Posted July 12, 2004 #2 Share Posted July 12, 2004 No problem for your ship, but an airline might not let you on with it.
jeanbean Posted July 12, 2004 Author #3 Share Posted July 12, 2004 Thanks Nitemare. We're being dropped off by the pier since we live so close.
bombero Posted July 12, 2004 #4 Share Posted July 12, 2004 Hi jeanbean, You won't have any problem getting on the ship. I carry much more than that in our Emergency Kit...
Rare Roz Posted July 12, 2004 #5 Share Posted July 12, 2004 Tweezers are classified as weapons of mass destruction for airline purposes. I'm sure you've heard of people being tweezed to death. I'm Italian and having to go hrs. without tweezing is agonizing. Roz
Shelli Posted July 12, 2004 #6 Share Posted July 12, 2004 The carry-on restrictions used by airlines (no scissors, etc.) are NOT used by cruise lines. You will not have problems with any typical cosmetic implements in your carry-on when embarking the ship. But they will confiscate liquor!

Rare Roz Posted July 15, 2004 #11 Share Posted July 15, 2004 Tweezers are allowed Bigal? What great news! They're my security blanket - LOL! You never know when a stray chin hair will pop up! Roz
WeR3Angels Posted July 16, 2004 #12 Share Posted July 16, 2004 Roz, I am glad I am not the only one that cannot live without my tweezers. It drives my hubby crazy - I think I must get a wild look in my eye when I fill that wild chin hair. Maybe that is why I am attracted to guys with beards :D Barb :-)
scammers820 Posted July 17, 2004 #13 Share Posted July 17, 2004 i work for the TSA (take scissors away):p and they are okay to put in your carry bag. i am in chicago at they are okay. if you are not sure here is a test take them and tap yourself in your palm or on your wrist if you think it is painful and it hurts then put them in a baggie and put in your checked bag but being the person who may examine your bag there is a 99.9% that they are fine to carry with you. enjoy
