yogimax Posted March 9, 2007 #6 Share Posted March 9, 2007 right side -- starboard- left side -- Port side (4 letters each word) That's only true if you are facing toward the front of the ship. If your facing the aft, the opposite is true:)

firefly333 Posted March 9, 2007 #8 Share Posted March 9, 2007 Iv noticed on the Conquest that the port side is more popular. I had to argue to get on the port side, they tried to put me on the starboard side. I want to see out the port side this time :)

The CApt decides what way to "park" at each place. Some places port side will face the port-- while the next place the starboard side will face the port. Dont book your cabin based on being a port side or starboard side cabin

Catrin Posted March 9, 2007 #12 Share Posted March 9, 2007 We were on this same cabin on The Triumph several years ago. Great location of the Starboard Side of the Ship. The Laundry room was just several doors down, if that sort of thing interests you! Catrin
yst347 Posted March 9, 2007 #13 Share Posted March 9, 2007 On all Carnival ships odd numbered cabins are on the starboard side and even numbered cabins are on the port side. The easy way to remember is even/port/left all have four letters.
