Return flight times for Viking in Vienna

It looks like (currently - we'll have to see for next year) we can get a flight out of Vienna at 11:40 AM. Is that too early? What is a reasonable time for departure when booking the air on your own?

If you are docked overnight in Vienne it does not matter what time your flight leaves. They will get you off the boat very early. Our flight out od Regensburg/Munich is at 7:00 am, so the cruise transportation service will pick us up around 4 am :eek:.

Thanks for the information. We are overnight in Vienna - I hadn't thought about that. Hopefully we won't have to leave as early as you do!!! :eek:

On our cruise Viking didn't care when we left the ship -- they just wanted us out of our rooms by 9:00 am so they could begin preparing for incoming passengers. We could leave our luggage outside our cabins all morning or bring them up to reception. Then we could hang out in the lounge until it was time to leave for the airport. I found there was much more freedom of choice than disembarkation from an ocean cruise ship.

11:40 am shouldn´t be any problem. H2Otstr has to face a one hour plus bus ride from Regensburg to Munich airport and obviously with a 7 am flight he´s connecting to some other airport for the transatlantic flight. US flights out of Munich are all departing from 11 am to 3 pm. At 7 am most of the flights coming from the US haven´t landed yet in Munich.
