caribencrzr Posted June 17, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 17, 2007 I have been on several Carnival cruises but am going on Royal Caribbean for the first time this August. Carnival always docked near the navy base in Key West but I have heard Royal Caribbean docks close to Mallory Square. Does anyone know if this is true and does that mean instead of taking a tram to near where the shops/bars are you just get off the ship and you are within walking distance of all the shops/bars? Jules4AU Posted June 17, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 17, 2007 I found this link to the port calendars on this message board: http://www.keywestcity.com/egov/apps/document/center.exe?id=1&path=browse&fDD=13-192 You can check your actual sailing date, but it looks to me that RC ships are using Pier B which is the one right near Mallory Square. Aquahound Posted June 17, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 17, 2007 Pier B is correct. The Enchantment always ties up at Pier B. It's also known as the Hilton or Westin Dock. Mallory Square is Pier A. Click my webshots and look at the "Cruise Ships" album. The first photo is of the Enchantment in Key West.
caribencrzr Posted June 18, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted June 18, 2007 Thank you for your replies. So it looks like I was thinking correctly that you can just get off the ship and walk into town, right?

familycruzer Posted June 20, 2007 #6 Share Posted June 20, 2007 If my ship is due to leave at 6:00 pm in January ... will I miss the sunset celebration?
peter_krynicki Posted June 20, 2007 #7 Share Posted June 20, 2007 If my ship is due to leave at 6:00 pm in January ... will I miss the sunset celebration? You'll have to miss the actual sunset, but the celebration starts earlier than that. Most of the performers are up and running an hour earlier. Sunset is at 5:50 on 1/1/08 and goes to 6:12 on the 31st. Increase is about 45 seconds / day. Pjk
Knights on the Beach Posted June 23, 2007 #8 Share Posted June 23, 2007 If your ship is scheduled to leave at 6:00 p.m., remember you'll have to be back on board about 30 minutes prior. You will have to view the actual sunset from the deck of the ship.
