I would like to compliment the entire crew of the Majesty. Archie and each Crew member I met while on board greeted me with a smile and sense of pride. I felt safe and able to approach anyone of them with questions at any time making my week on board far more relaxing for me. You filled my days with energy & enthusiam! This cruise was phenomenal!;)

This was my second time on the Majesty this summer. My review of my June 10th.-17th. cruise was posted 6/21.

Embarkation was very easy and quick for myself, my daughter and her best friend. I carried my essentials in the "Memory Bag" I crocheted from the shopping bags I saved from my June 10th. cruise.

Our Superior Oceanview Cabin on the Majesty deck was large enough for the three of us to be very comfortable and always kept well maintained.

Vincent delivered coffee & fruit to our cabin each morning making for a wonderful start to the day.

All of the food venues were outstanding. The buffet and pasta and sandwich staions as well as breakfast selections offered many choices and were always refreshed promptly and displayed beautifully. Same for the Pasta Cafe', Main Dining rooms and Piazza San Marco.

The days at sea were spent relaxing by the pool dancing to Joy or Amadeus. Both fantastic!!:p All of the games and activities poolside were entertaining for those who participated or those who watched. Fun!Fun!Fun! Hugs to Mike...Good luck on The Dawn, Aris, Johnny,Nilla, Jon Jon, Nanette, Amadeus, Joy, Charlie & Chris & Hip Hop!! I love those Conga Lines & deck parties!! Yummy Yummy those "Cool Runnings" in the pineapples! One night I taught a group of "Cowgirls" on board how to line dance. That was a huge highlight for me...I loved it! Hugs to my "Cowgirls!" Another highlight was being called Paula Dean by a group of passengers...I love her!:)

The Casino staff was very helpful and friendly at all times. Hugs to Rean and Karen! :p The choice of machines and tables were great! Snacks served at night were very welcomed and kept me comfy while playing.

All of the Entertainment on board was top notch from the shows to the piano bars to the Fireworks Lounge, Karaoke and disco!

I enjoyed taking a Cha Cha class from Wendy & Steve the dance hosts and a Hot Stone Massage at the spa. Try it!

The girls and I did not let a little rain stop us. We ran right through the puddles to catch our bus or Ferry and did all that we had planned. The Crystal Caves were amazing! We visited the Baby Dolphins and Maritime Museum at Dockyard as well as did some shopping. We used our $5 voucher at The White Horse...even got Key Lime cheescake to go! It was wonderful!

We walked to Tobacco Bay, St. Catherine's and Achilles in the rain and enjoyed each one of them! It was about a 30 minute walk from the ship. Our new friend Peggy and her niece Kira captured our hearts! Hugs... We love you!!:p Kira braided all of our hair and did a fantastic job! Peggy's "Beach It" has drinks and snacks. Fantastic! Don't miss the talking parrot hiding in the hut roof. He's a riot! Lunch at Blackbeards Tavern was a platter of shrimp, chicken wings, conch, onion rings and french fries. Yum!!

Staying in St. George for a few days was fabulous! The busses and ferries and cabs were all easy to get around on.

I enjoyed attending the Cruise Critic Meeting and putting faces with screen names. I also picked up lots of interesting information from the Crew that met with us.

The Latitude's party was a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and we did! Hugs to Betsey & Sally!!

Disembarkation on Sunday was a breeze!

There are choices for everyone on this cruise and opportunities for fun all around the ship!

The friends I made and the experiences we shared will stay in my heart forever!:p Hugs to Joe from So. Boston, Elvis # 2, Kevin, Greg, Peter and his family from Canada, Wendy & Steve, Laurie & family, Dick & Mary and all who helped make our trip so much fun!

mistyw, I was impressed with your enthusiasm about your cruise. You are wonderfully positive person. My dh is a big fan of cruise critics and arranged a meeting on our last Majesty cruise, 9/19/06. The guest services coordinator did a nice job setting us up in the boardroom with an array of refreshments. I was intrigued that you said you learned a lot from the crew members who met with you. Could you tell me a little about it? Thanks.

For Perkypat23,

You will love it! Happiness is all around you on the Majesty. Reach for it!!

One tip I'd like to mention...There are no trays at the buffet. I bought one at the Paradise Gift shop right in the square and it was the best $4.95 I ever spent. Much easier than trying to juggle plates & cups and now I have it for my future cruises.

Bubbletoes,

I love your screen name!! The Cruise Director Archie, The Hotel Manager and Food and Beverage manager were at our meeting. They made us all feel wecome and were happy to answer any questions we had. It took place in "The House Of Lords on Monday morning. There was coffee, juice and cookies available for us. It was very nice to put some faces with the names of the CC's I've seen on this board. The Hotel Manager explained this was the Majesty's last season from Boston but she will do some New England cruises next year. She will be replaced with the Dream sailing this same Itinary. I have been on the Dream...It is definately a Dream. Everyone will be happy with her! He also spoke to us about some of the restrictions they need to adhere to while in Port such as choice of music played and type of attire to wear while in St. George. I believe he said Bermuda shorts & a jacket were suitable for men during the daytime and women need cover-ups over bathing suits. He also mentioned they were not allowe to cut carrots while in Bermuda. That intrigued me and I plan on researching why. Another change is...The rendezvous Lounge is Non-smoking in response to passenger comment cards.. So be sure to fill those cards out...they do have an impact!! Lastly he spoke about the rooms that do not have hair dryers...The are happy to provide you with one if needed. Just ask as the desk I'll be happy to answer any other questions you have. What time were you able to board in Boston? What time were you off the ship?

My cousin lives in Boston and is going to take us to the ship and pick us up so I would like this information so we can plan.

We were on the ship by noon and off by 10A.M.

Have a wonderful time!!

I'm so happy you loved your cruise!

We have thought about the Majesty - I know it has mixed reviews because it is older and smaller, but I'm thinking for my first cruise it would be super great. My hubby raves about NCL.

Anyway, what were your other cruisers like?

We love the karaoke - can you tell me more about it?

XO

Hi improvgirl,

You will love it...especially as your first cruise! The crew is so welcoming and friendly and helpful! Karaoke was fantastic...Be sure to say "Hello" to Aris from Mary & the girls. He's wonderful!! I have loved every cruise I have been on but this one far exceeded my expectations. Sailing out of Boston was so much easier it's true and I do prefer the older and smaller ships. But...if I had to choose one thing that set this cruise apart it would be the warm, friendly approachable crew that makes you feel special everyday!! Hugs to all of them!

Gosh, Mary, between you and Sharon you're both putting me to shame, posting your reviews so fast!! It was a GREAT cruise and it was so nice meeting you and everyone else at our CC get together -- we FORGOT TO TAKE A PICTURE!!! I was so pleased with the turn-out!

I WILL get a review up in the next week, and like you, we had a fabulous time! We LOVE the crew on this ship and will miss them SO MUCH! I think they should just take everyone from the Majesty and put them on the Dream when it comes to Boston next summer!!

I see you have met my better half. Small world. I loved your review. Your enthusiasm is awesome, no wonder you had such a great time. I am sure the crew loved you just as much in return. They were the greatest crew, so friendly and helpful. My question to you is, you seemed to love the Dream (which is replacing the Majesty) as well, How did it compare to the Majesty? This fall will be our fourth year in a row on the Majesty and we are spoiled. Perfect size to navigate and not get lost and a fantastic crew. Will we be happy with the Dream as a replacement for next year? My wife is mad, as her signature used to have bubbles percolating but seemed to have disappeared. Oh well, I offered to fix it for her, but she nixed that offer. LOL:)

What a great review of a wonderful cruise. I love your positive attitude and wish you were coming with us on our cruise too! WE LOVE the Majesty, think she is a great old ship, love the food, the entertainment, the casino (never win though) just about everything I can think of. We'll be going to Bermuda on the 26th of August and can't wait. THANK YOU!

We've cruised Majesty and Dream twice each. Oceanview and inside staterooms on Dream are much nicer. Oceanviews have a nice sitting area, with loveseat and upholstered chair, right by the window. Main dining rooms on Dream are nicer, also, with the aft Terraces having nice views. The Italian restaurant on Dream offers a full menu, not just pasta, and has the best views of all--glass on three sides and above. Dream also has a bigger theater with better sightlines.

We enjoyed Majesty, but I'd say Dream is a step up. Both have undersized buffets given the added capacity after the stretch. Majesty has the edge in that Piazza San Marco offers wider choices than Dream's Pizzeria. Both ships are smaller than today's megaships and we've been pleased by the friendly service of the crew on both.

I have also sailed on both ships, and both reflect cruise ship designs when they were built in 1992. I believe Boston cruisers will enjoy having the option to book cabins and suites with a balcony much.

I really enjoyed meeting you too and it was very comforting to say "Hello" to fellow passengers as we passed in the hall. My motto is...for every one who doesn't respond, I meet 10 or more that do. So....I aways say "Hello" or "Good Morning" first. It makes their day happy and it makes my day happy!

I agree we had a wonderful turnout for the CC meeting and we'll definately have to take a picture next time!

Wow...you took the words right out of my mouth..."I think they should just take everyone from the Majesty and put them on the Dream when it comes to Boston next summer!!"

Hi Writeratsea,

Thank you for the compliment! I believe "Everybody has their ups & downs...Misery is an option." I am very happy to have met your better half! Ha! Ha! I use the bubbles percolating also when I'm working on my Music & Movement Pogram for Preschoolers.

Yes...You will we be happy with the Dream as a replacement for next year! Thank goodness I keep a cruise journal so I can answer your question.

The Dream was truly a dream come true for my husband & myself. I was searching the net one day when I came upon a price we couldn't pass up. We paid the same for a 5 day cruise on the Dream in "The Owner's Suite" as we paid on average for our others. This was my husband's dream and I was very happy to make it come true for him. We've been in every type of cabin available now and happy with any of them but this truly made his eyes sparkle!

The "Owner's Suite" had a separate bedroom, sitting area, floor to ceiling windows, walk through bathroom with tub, walk in closet and huge balcony! We were very happy just to sit on the balcony and have coffee!

Alex, our concierge pampered us throughout the cruise, we had two butlers we never took advantage of and of course our Room Steward. I'm a do-it-yourself type person so my husband was often reminding me to let them "do it." The crew on the Dream was also very personable and made us feel good.

I absolutely loved the Casino...Very well done! The Four Seasons and Terrace restaurants were incredible and the buffet can more than please anyone. As always, the delicious rolls and macadamia nut cookies screamed my name everytime I walked by!

It is a newer ship, beautifully decorated and very easy to navigate...just the right size. All of the entertainment was fantastic...We are dancers and really enjoyed all of the Big Band music and Piano Bar as well as the Lounges and Karaoke.

One of our favorite things was the swim up bar! What could be better on a warm sunny day? And...I don't even drink but my husband loves his "Helmets of Beer". Seeing him so happy made me happy! All I can say about the pools and hot tub area is WOW! I'll let you be surprised!

We will definately be sailing on the Dream next summer...probably not in the Owner's Suite. That was a once in a lifetime experience but in whatever cabin we are able to for sure!

For me...The best part of sailing on The Dream was seeing my husband so happy!

Off to go dancing...I'll check in tomorrow. I tried to insert a picture of us on The Dream but wasn't able to figure out how. Can anyone help & I'll post it tomorrow. Thanks!

I'll be like a walking (or dancing) advertisement tonight doing the Cha, Cha, Cha with my "Island Beaded" dress on and the beads still in my hair from St. Catherine's Beach.

I'm going to feel so good!!
