I gave her this for the best list I have seen yet. :D

Here are all that I have.

Calgon:

http://www.geocities.com/Calgon1/UPL-2_Adults_Warm.html

The warm climate version is for adults, and works fairly well for the Amazon River, the Caribbean, Mediterranean, Red, Arabian, Coral, Tasman, Philippine, South and East China Seas, the Gulfs of Guinea and Mexico, the South Pacific and Indian Oceans.

http://www.geocities.com/Calgon1/UPL-2_Adults_Cold.html

The cold climate version is the other adult UPL and is geared more toward Baffin and Hudson Bay, the Baltic, Barents, Beaufort, Bering, Black, Caspian, Chukchi, Greenland, Laptev, North, Norwegian, Okhotsk, Scotia, Siberian, Weddell, White and Yellow Seas, the North Atlantic, North Pacific and part of the South Atlantic Oceans.

For young people (teens and pre-teens) try the http://www.geocities.com/Calgon1/UPL-Kids_Warm.html or http://www.geocities.com/Calgon1/UPL-Kids_Cold.html climate UPLs.

Just did a search & ended up posting it on that old thread so here it is. May appear on Pg 1 again but I'm tired of the site acting up!

I know the very best I've seen was a few yrs ago by Cruise Diva but couldn't find it until I went to the CruiseClues link. Still not the list I use which must be outdated. Here's the link for a lot of great ideas to get started. My list in docs doesn't show the site but if I find it in my suitcases in the spare BR which is being used now, , I'll post it. Need to get it going for Sept. 10th anyway!

***************/pack3.htm For some reason the link keeps changing to Xs so try this & put http:// in front! and then cruisediva! Wouldn't leave it alone even the 2nd way or use the search given for cruiseclues on Post #4!

My advice is to go through your daily routine, both day and evening and take that stuff. Other than your clothing, meds, a small first aid kit, camera and one cell phone fully charged and turned off, you really don't need anything else.

Every ones needs are different, there is no perfect packing list that accomodates all. Most of the packing lists I see here are over the top and have you packing for a yearlong camping trip. The very best list for you is the one you make yourself, you know what you need. If you see things on these lists you hadn't thought of, you might spend money and pack worthless items, wasting space, time and $$.

So...pack light, leave the "what ifs" at home and enjoy your cruise.

I agree with you, most of the lists just have way too much stuff. I start buying stuff I need a couple of months before we leave and make a pile on the bed in the spare room, stuff like suntan lotion, waterproof disposable camera, etc. I have things we always bring with us in a together in a bag so I don't have to go searching, waterproof wallet, lanyard waterbottle holder, little binoculars, etc. The day to day stuff comes together pretty easily for us. All our paperwork is in a clear plastic folder that has a velcro closure. That accumulates in that folder as we book hotel, rental car, excursions etc. We make a list of things to do before we leave like put mail on hold, cancel papers, call credit card companies.

Don't stress over it, develop what works for you and enjoy a mojito for me:p

After writing hand lists for years, I finally put one on excel. Now I just update that as needed. I print it out a month before we cruise, start packing, and just check things off as I put them in the suitcase. That way I don't forget if something is packed or not. Also allows me to see if I need to go an buy anything. I have found this list works perfect for me, enough detail I don't forget anything, but totally tailored to just the two of us.
