Port Cancellation ?

We are in the process of planning when to take our next cruise this will be the second. I have spent a lot of time here reading for the last few weeks and have read a lot about port cancellations. We are planning on the western caribbean area on rccl. Is there a better time of year than another to possibly avoid this from happening. Thanks ahead of time for info. Hope this was the best thread to ask this.

You must tender in to Grand Cayman and Belize. If the water is too rough they will not tender and you'll have another day at sea. Once in Grand Cayman we all went ashore then a storm came up and the water got rough in the afternoon. We were on the last tender before they pulled up the anchor and moved to the other side of the island! They had a bus to bring the rest of the passenges to the ship but image getting to the tender pier and not seeing the ship! No one was left behind! Costa Maya might also tender as they did when the piers in Cozumel were damaged after a hurricane. But that wouldn't be right away.
