Try to set a budget for casino play, and stick to it! Do not be tempted to redeem cash off of your card, there is usually a % fee. Take advantage of any offers...tournaments, etc...

I have never had any trouble getting rid of my extra change in the slots.

I made the mistake of playing off my S&S card on my last trip, and I will NOT do that again! It's way too easy to end up losing more than you had planned. Depending on how much you plan to feed the one armed bandits, you can use $20 bills or smaller. I think you can use $100 bills in some of them, too, if you want. I wouldn't pack coins for this. If you prefer to feed the machines coins, take your bills to the cashier and get the coins there.

Are you saying Carnival hasn't switched to the cash-less slots yet? They don't use the machines that only give little slips of paper back instead of cash?

I'm gussing "no". I know that at least some of them still use coins and tokens. I do not frequent the casino - but I have noticed folks carrying around those paper buckets of coins and tokens.

The slot machines on the legend took bills from $1-$100. I also saw people using coins. You can either cash out (I once pushed the wrong button) and get the coins or you can put the money to player's bank on S & S card. You can go to the cage at any time and cash in your bank for bills. On the last night the Casino host (Claudia who is wonderfull) made several announcements that player's banks had to be cashed in that night as the casino would not be open in am in port. The last time she even named about 10 people. I wonder what happens to player's banks not cashed in??

I always bring my casino bankroll in cash and keep it completely separate from all other vacation funds. Large bills are perfectly suited for this purpose. The casino cage will provide anything you need be they chips or coins.
