moo444 Posted September 14, 2007 #203 Share Posted September 14, 2007 I am enjoying looking at all your wonderful photos. Princess has a contest 4 times a year for passengers belonging to their Captain's Club to send in a photo and a 50 word essay about their recent cruise experience. If you win you get a 7 night FREE cruise. Does Holland America have such a contest?? Seems like all your photos would absolutely win.

Downwind Posted September 14, 2007 #212 Share Posted September 14, 2007 The ruins of Ephesus are located only a few miles from the port city of Kusadasi, Turkey. Here is the great theatre of Ephesus. It was built originally by the Hellenic Greeks and later renovated and enlarged by the Romans. It could hold 25,000 spectators and has near perfect acoustics. EngineerDel Posted September 14, 2007 #214 Share Posted September 14, 2007 Thanks again "downwind" and "maxout". I see I'm not the only one having trouble displaying "large" pictures. ( bobmag....BCEagle...Sea Island Lady....obriandan....etc) However, after viewing "Greg's SPECTACULAR photos (as well as yours and many others) I'm not sure I really want to show mine. :) We are seeing some of the BEST photos I've ever seen on the web. Everyone, please keep um coming! Del
zackiedawg Posted September 14, 2007 #215 Share Posted September 14, 2007 Hey Downwind... Who'd have thought Stromboli would end up getting posted twice in this thread!? Looks like you were there more in the daytime, so it gives a different perspective on it compared to the foggy sunrise version I posted.

It is VERY nice. Sadly, the day we went up it was so cloudy that we couldn't see anything from up top. Still, the trip back down afforded some excellent views of the ship. Christopher is terrified of heights, but he didn't have too much trouble. He just stood in the middle of the tram and held on during the ride up and down. Me ... I was hanging out the window, taking pictures. :D Encourage your people to take the Mt. Roberts Tram. It's not a bad ride up or down, and if there's no cloud cover the view must be amazing. EngineerDel Posted September 14, 2007 #222 Share Posted September 14, 2007 You too, huh, Brian! ("small red x) I'm going to keep trying until I get it right folks! Please bear with me. Meanwhile, just keep looking at all the wonderful pictures by others. I have noticed that everyone who has displayed their photos using "Webshots" has smaller pictures than others. Anyone know why? I've clicked on the icon (mountain w/ yellow background) to insert picture...typed in the URL at top of Main Menue....clicked on "Submit Reply" located at the bottom of page....and still no large picture.
