Children sailing

The disco after 11pm and the casino both have a minimum age restriction of 18 and the midnight comedy show.

Other than that, it isn't the age that would prohibit children in places like the piano bar and other bars...it is the smoke. These areas can get very smoky and you would not want to expose your children to that.

Also, for the very first time, on the Victory, karaoke was restricting the age to even be in there to a minimum of 15. I guess because of some of the lyrics. Usually the 15 years of age is a restriction only to participate in karaoke...but the kids can still sit in there.

Have a great cruise.

Wondering if there are any places that you would not take your kids on the conquest? You know too rowdy for them !

7-6 year old range.

Anywhere you wouldn't bring them at home. A bar is still a bar whether on the ship, or on land.

The only thing I haven't allowed my sons to do is watch the Newlywed/Not So Newlywed Show because it's suggestive.

There's an age min. for the R-rated comedians & disco, but you wouldn't do that with your kids anyway.

I think you have the idea that a cruise a WAY more rowdy than it really is. You'll find out for yourself soon enough....and then you'll be HOOKED!!!

I would also avoid the vegas style shows...my daughter loves them and I really don't mind the girls in thongs so much as far as her watching the show but I more so got a little freaked out when they had men in thongs at the show we saw on the liberty. My husband snatched her up and brought her right out from the show. We didn't expect that and decided never to do that again.

.....and you had a son instead of a daughter, would it have been OK for him to watch men in thongs? And once you had seen the women in them, would your husband have air-lifted your son out? Inquiring minds want to know?

Good to see you back on the boards. I have to ask though, what's the difference? The way I see it, a butt is a butt, male or female.

We took our 5 yr. old granddaughter and her friend, the same age, to the vegas style shows, and they loved them. I think at that age, they are looking more at the wonderful costumes and listening to the music than worrying about someones butt. I think kids nowadays see things like that on TV a lot more often than we know. The girls were dancing in front of the seats, having a blast.

It is people in thong costumes...with more on than some folks wear at the pool. The only difference is these dancers have the body to pull it off!!

Now I don't know how old the daughter is, but perhaps it has more to do with "Mommy what's that?" and not the butt. I only have boys, so I can't speak from experience, but if the daughter is still young, she may have had some questions (unless they fill in the thongs like they used to do for underwear ads!!)

Ok well since this has caused some controversy I must defend myself...yes with a male in thongs yes it is a little more mommy what is that b/c when the men were in thongs...they were showing quite a bit in the front and it was not a quick flash from the costumes like the women, this was a whole segment in the show that acutally had the men rip their pants off and you saw it all hang out in the front and when they turned around you saw bare behind. I think it is a little more acceptable with a woman and a little less sexual when it is a woman dancing in a costume as it is with a row of 8 men ripping their pants off to show off their goods...that was our reason...had I had a son I would have probably done the same thing. This show happened to be different of that one of woman dancing beautifully in costumes...

Oh and my daughter was 6 at the time

Please keep in mind if you take your child to Camp - they DO take the kids to many of the shows - so before you drop the little darlings off find out if they are going to the show and then decide if it's a good time to leave them. Imagine our surprise when our youngest son was about 10 and we looked over to see the camp group parading in to take their assigned seats front row balcony. We decided we would miss that show - scooped him up and returned him before the evening show so that we could go.

Not sure if they still do this as he is 17 now. Just wanted to warn you just in case.

My kids are near the same age. We been on the conquest 2 X . They would

love to be in camp 24 X 7 if they could. If you worried about them they camp

is free until 10PM. You can pay for them after 10pm until at least 1am. My

kids love staying there after hours as they had crafts, games, etc. There

is lots for them to do in Camp or out of camp with mom and dad.
