I shouldn't have opened this thread! I can't get "SUPER JACKPOT PARTY" out of my head! I just called my husband and said lets take a quick trip up to Oklahoma tonight! :D I love that game!

Some people spend their money on alcohol and some spend their's in the casino. ;) Some do both, haha!

Double Diamonds

According to my observations and all the scuttlebutt I've heard, it tends to have a lot of smaller payouts.

I'm not expecting to hit a big jackpot and I usually want $5 to last about 30 minutes by which point I'm bored. I can frequently depend on Double Diamonds to do that and I've even managed to walk away up a buck or two.

As you can see, I'm not a big gambler and everyone at work knows that when I return from our yearly pilgrimage to Vegas and say I won or lost a "coupla hundred" that I'm referring to cents.

DF and DM like 'em all but they own shares in International Gaming Technology.

That is why I like Double or Triple Diamonds. I only spend one roll of quarters per night. Sometimes I still have my quarters for the next night. DH plays table games & video poker.

I've never played Wheel of Fortune just because I hate the freaking tv game show so much! :p

But I may give it a go.

So, if i want to try the blackjack table, do I just go to the cashier's window and buy $xx worth of chips? Is the "how to play" session before the casino opens that first night?

Sorry, not really trying to hijack the slots thread, I just need some guidance!

Any slot that is NOT Wheel of Fortune. Those machines are so loud and obnoxious I want to rip them out and toss them overboard!!!

Have to agree about that Wheel Of Fortune game. Just got off the FREEDOM today, and played a Slot called 'Monte Carlo', kinda similar to the Wheel of Fortune game, but w/o the LOUD, obnoxious theme comming from it. I did do pretty good for my first time on a CCL ship ($425).

As a side note, I asked the bartendars that are at the 'Centuries Bar' (next to Casino) on board and they said when they first start their shift there, it gets tiresome really quick, but after a couple of hours, they hardly notice it anymore.

BTW, it was a GR8 1st cruise on CCL. Will defintely go back!!

Type in a search for "learn blackjack" and familiarize yourself with basic play. It's easy and alot of the players at the blackjack tables on the ships are "newbies". I've found that dealers and other players are usually willing to guide you. Just remember that it's your money and you should play the way you're comfortable with.

I thought that they usually have the "learn to play" sessions on the first sea day in the morning....it will be listed in the Capers

I like Jackpot Party quarters, not the nickles. All nickle machines are a rip off.

I also found two machines on the Triumph this past September. The names elude me, but the first of you hit the "SPIN" reel on the 3rd spot you got a bonus spin and you could get up to 1000 quarters. There was another one, right next to it on the other side of the aisle, that had a secondary game that if you got the waitress on the 3rd reel you played the secondary game. I will be looking for both of those games since I did well on both of them. No, I didn't bring money home, but I had FUN playing them!!!!!

I have never seen that Super Jackpot Party. I guess it's a newer version of the one I played at the Seminole Casino. I have 1 week to go and this time next Saturday, I will be sitting at one of the many one armed bandits and hopefully hitting lots of bonuses and 7777777777's. I was in CVS yesterday and went to get something off of a peg and right in front of me was a lighter with a casino line of 7's . I had to buy it! Maybe it will be my lucky charm! I had one several years ago and won a cruise playing bingo with it sitting on my card. Come on 7777's!

The one where that poor guy calls his wife from Vegas and tells her that they just showed him how to Double Down and he is only down 5600.00 in one day, thats like a $1 there in Vegas, she says thats like 6000.00 here LOL.

This thread is so funny to me!!!!!! I live in San Diego and we have lots about "7" of the Indian Casinos close by. Actually, I have 2 that is under 5 miles from my house:) Sometimes that is a good thing...lol. Actually I like any machine that I WIN on!!!!

We went to Barona for Thanksgiving and didn't play a single penny. :D

I like Reel 'em In. I never win any money though.

Thats one of my favorites too, Vegas has newer versions of it with more bonus rounds and lots of noise.

Now that is real control. I love playing the slots. I am kind of glad I don't live too close to the casinos anymore. It's so much fun, but can get quite expensive when you hit a dry streak. I only took money I could afford to lose, but saw tons spending their whole paycheck in an hour and wondering how to pay their bills. That is when you better get out of there and stay out. I think of it as entertainment and it's more fun than going to a movie (probably cheaper with what they are charging these days!) Come on 7 days! Carnival, take me away!

Two years in a row we played the dollar "wheel of fortune" slot for our slot pull. Coldest beyotch in the house both years.

Which is unfortunate, because it was the only slot machine I ever won on in Lake Tahoe. :D

On our way to the Show on the Spirit, Wendy stopped and dropped 3 dollars ( max for spin ) and got the spin on the first try, got 100.00 for it. :D

Not a slot story, I play blackjack. Atleast in blackjack you can say yes or no to the next card where in slots you just have to be lucky.

Anyway last Feb on RCL Legend of the Seas I was down about $1000 for the week but on the last day I won $3000 and sent my girlfriend and her mother on another cruise with RCL.

She won a couple hundred dollars playing slots on The Legend but after my performance at blackjack she tried it on her gift cruise and she won $400.

We're cruising on Carnival Pride March 2nd. I'm not sure which type of gambling she'll be playing. But no doubt if she finds The Munsters she'll be playing slots.

I like the Pinball .25 cent and also $1.00 if I can find them. I also like the quarter machines-can't think of the name of the but it annoying says "its crazy time" when it hits the bonus spin.

I have had pretty good luck on the $1.00 Wheel of Fortune also.

Biggest win I had was on a $5.00 machine. They only have a couple of $5 machines in the casino but they usually pay out pretty good.

I normally enjoy table games more, but as far as slots go my favorite is the $1 Wheel of Fortune (yeah, the sound does get annoying, eh?) only because I have the best luck on that one. My biggest payout was $200. I've had a lot of $40 here $40 there, but $200 was my highest single payout. Not huge, but it makes me happy enough. I make way more playing Blackjack at a table than I do throwing down money in a slot.

I also LOVE a particular quarter slot and for the life of me I am having a brain freeze and can not remember the name of it. It has a bonus game in it (Love the bonus games) and it's an older game- Just a three reeler and it "moo's" like a cow/bull and if you get three bulls lined up then you get anywhere from 1-10 extra spins. I ALWAYS look for it when I first walk into the casino.

Oh you're a fan of Stampede too! That's the name of it and my favorite as well. Gotta love it when you hit the bonus round!
