I didn't get mine assigned until I got to embarkation, but was happily surprised because I initially asked for a category 1A and wound up in an oceanview.

We booked a guarantee inside and got assigned outside already for a 2/19 cruise on Elation 5-day

the poster who said it vaires, meant you usually find out shortly after you paid in full, but it could be earlier or later. Actually its rare to not know until embarkation, but it does happen. So, keep checking to see if you were assigned a cabin, in case it does happen.

We booked a BL (balcony guarantee) and as I recall we got our cabin assignment around 45-50 days out.

We paid in full in December, we set sail in 72 days and still don't have an assigned cabin. This is our first cruise, so I don't have any expectations except to have a blast!

We got ours 51 days out. Booked OS guarantee and got 6D.

We booked an OV guarantee and found out about 50 days to sailing, we had already paid in full but it does vary.

We (four couples) all booked balcony guarantee rooms (BL) on the Carnival Pride. We sail March 9th and yesterday their website identified our room numbers. So, yes.

We booked a guarantee OV stateroom with the possibility of an upgrade. Haven't received our stateroom # yet, but hopefully, crossing our fingers, that we'll get an upgrade to a balcony!

I booked my cruise in Dec 2007. I am sailing on Imagination March 10th. I was assigned my cabin about 2 weeks ago. I was pleasantly surprised when they booked me on the upper deck (two decks higher than I had expected). I did not expect a balcony as it is during March break.

We went on the Carnival Pride in 2005, with a guaranteed Balcony. Didn't know what we were getting until we arrived at the docks, but were assigned 4 Balcony categories higher than expected.

 

We're booked on the Freedom for this April, guaranteed balcony again. No assignment yet, but it's still 87 days to go!
