Wrong room, wrong time

Has anyone walked into the wrong room at the wrong time?..I did...on a Carnival cruise ..the door was ajar, I thougt it was mine..not!!! It walked out to the balcony and I was there for some time before I heard...some noise...they noticed me first and then I realized that I was in the wrong room...oops and WOW:D :eek: :eek:

 

Luckily there was only two nights left and at least we got to meet the neighbors and we all got a good laugh out of it.

A friend of mine took a Carnival cruise a couple of weeks ago only because it was a group cruise. When she got to her cabin she couldn't open the door; it seemed like it was locked from the inside. The steward came to help her and told her it wasn't her room because the passenger was already in the room and taking a shower. Well, guess what? It was her room. A passenger found the door open, thought it was hers, went in, unpacked and was taking a shower. Her cabin # was 10 digits off or transposed, I forgot which. The steward was very embarrassed, and he quickly changed all of the linens in the cabin for them. She said they had excellent service, in fact almost overwhelming service, which she figures was because they didn't complain to anyone. He thanked her and her dh several times for being so understanding.

I've never done this on a cruise considering I've never been on one, however it did happen to me in a hotel in Myrtle Beach. I was fighting with the boyfriend on the phone while walking up the stairs and went a couple floors above mine and busted through the other pesons door screaming " RACHAEL! I CAN'T STAND HIM!" And some guy was standing in the doorway opening a jar just looking at me. Very Embarassing.

It didn't happen to me on a cruise. I was sitting in my car, parked in front of a hardware store. I'm minding my own business, when I hear somebody trying to open the passenger door. This guy knocks on my window, so I look at him and tell him that he had the wrong car. He was set to get in, saying that his friend has the same car, his friend was parked down the street. Good thing I had the door locked, ya never know who's loony in the BX. :eek:

I had this happen to me on a recent cruise----I couldn't get my key to open the door. Asked one of the cabin guys to please open my door, my key wouldn't work-----:eek: ------it was someone elses room when he opened the door. I said, OH ! this isn't my room SORRY and off I went, with a red face.

 

My niece did go to someones elses room----the door was opened, she thought it was her room-----and she had to use the John-----she used it and realized, after, that it wasn't her room, her room was another floor down. She never saw anyone:cool: and ran out, after she realized, it wasn't her room.

I had a friend who was an all inclusive in St. Lucia and he walked into another couple's room and stood there dumbfounded for a few seconds trying to decipher what was going on. He had picked up a pillow on the floor and threw it on the bed and all of a sudden two people sat up.:eek:

 

He was wearing a really loud Hawaiin shirt and he made sure he didn't wear it again the rest of the week so he wouldn't be recognized!

Once I was on the toilet when the steward came in to clean-he did not know I was there- as I had left and then returned afew minutes later as I needed to go- I had left the bathroom door open-since I was alone in the cabin. I won't do THAT again.

I'm surprised this hasn't happened more often. Many times two or three cabin stewards will be working in a group of ten or so cabins, going back and forth to their carts in the process. I've seen this many times.

My children had a couple in a hotel come into their room once and give them a show. We were in the adjoining room, and heard and got in there to find them still in the entry area by the bathroom going at it on the counter. The older 2 (5 and 6 or 6 and 7 at the time) sure got an education that night. We had an interesting talk with security, as the key this couple had DID open my children's door. It's one of the reasons that until the kids are older, we'll pay extra for suites from now on.

 

On a cruise, we had a drunk guy who almost broke down the door when we wouldn't let him in to our children's room (adjoining room again) ... scared the heck out of allof us. My husband had gone for a walk. I called security and I think he spent the night with them, sleeping it off.

I forgot something in my room and went back to get it. I, or course, was in a hurry and stuck my card into the door. I opened the door and instantly saw that wasnot my room! I could not believe that my card unlocked another guests door! Luckily, I didn't see anything I shouldn't have!:D

Geez... calling someone dumb and a liar all in one post... not very pleasant of you...

 

But... on our last cruise... I was walking down the hall to my parents room... I wasn't paying much attention to where I was, and saw a door somewhat opened. I just figured my parents had opened the door for me so I could just walk in... Not even noticing I was even on the wrong side of the ship... I opened the door and found a lovely elderly couple sitting on the bed... I was shocked and completely embarrased... Said that I was sorry etc...

Throughout the cruise I ended up seeing this couple everywhere... They were even on the same excursion in St Thomas... But I ended up making some new friends! We still keep in touch through emails! :D

I interpreted the post as.... the people to whom the room belonged entered AFTER the OP (and didn't notice the OP out on their balcony, and proceeded to.... WOW)

After dinner on our last cruise I had a bad headache & decided to go back to the cabin early. My fiancee went to the casino to hang out so I could get some peace & quiet. I got back to the room I took out my contacts and proceeded to go to sleep. I woke up a few hours later & noticed he still wasn't back so I went to look for him in the casino. I figured heck it's 2 in the morning I'm not putting my contacts back in (I forgot my glasses at home) So I headed down to the casino & I found my fiancee at the same slot machines I'd left him at after dinner. So I sat down I said, "Hey Mr Right, are you ready to go to bed yet?" Next thing I know I'm staring at some guy who is NOT my fiancee.:eek: I applogized profusely and ran off as quick as I could to really find my fiancee.

Okay....so....it wasn't my first cruise...I've been here before done that....and YES, sure there are a lot of doors...that look the same...but that's why they're are numbers on them....HOWEVER, nonetheless...a couple of years ago...it was about 1:00 am....and I just wasn't paying enough attention...and I knocked on the wrong door....(I was ONE door off)...I felt terrible....I woke an older couple up...at 1:00 am. Heck, I still feel bad about it!

Okay....so....it wasn't my first cruise...I've been here before done that....and YES, sure there are a lot of doors...that look the same...but that's why they're are numbers on them....HOWEVER, nonetheless...a couple of years ago...it was about 1:00 am....and I just wasn't paying enough attention...and I knocked on the wrong door....(I was ONE door off)...I felt terrible....I woke an older couple up...at 1:00 am. Heck, I still feel bad about it!

 

we had a room on deck 6 on the Westerdam last year and for some reason I went down to deck 5 (instead of 6) and I could not understand why I could not find my room number, until I noticed the first number was a 5 instead of a 6. LOL! Fortunately I did not knock or try my key as I discovered my mistake.

a few years ago on a rcci ship i was returning to my cabin after heavy drinking. My buddy was sleeping on the floor in the hallway. He was sharing a cabin with my brother and my brothers wife. I woke him up and he told me that when he stumbled back to the cabin he opened the door and there was "a party" going on in there. But there were more people in there than just my bro and wife!!!!!!???????? So he was very happy to passout in the hall.:eek:
