Spa Area Celebrity/Princess

Hi

We just returned from the Millenium and I really enjoyed the

Persian Garden

Does the Crown have a similar area with steam rooms and saunas?

There was a weekly charge to use the Persian Garden.

We are waitlisted for a mini suite but confirmed in a balcony, do you

think we have a good chance to clear the waitlist?

Thanks very much

The Crown and the newer Princess ships have a "Thermal Suite" with 3 sauna rooms, heated tile loungers, and showers. If you get a treatment you can use it for free or they sell a pass to come and go as you please throughout your cruise.

Princess Thermal Suites and the M Class Persian Gardens are very similar, although, if I recall, the Persian Gardens had big windows looking out on the water (or is it the Radiance Class ships that have the windows in their Thermal Suites?). The Princess Thermal Suites do not have windows; they are located in the interior of the spa area.

Hi "YellowFish" ;)

If I remember correctly, it was the Radiance-class ships on RCI that have the windows in the Thermal Suites. The Persian Gardens in the Millenium-class ships of the Celebrity fleet are in the interior of the vessel & are co-ed, like the Princess ships.

However, Millenium-class ships have saunas in the men's & women's changing rooms/ locker rooms (obviously not co-ed, haha) with a 5' or 6' diameter giant porthole window (practically floor-to-ceiling) overlooking the ocean.

If you enjoy taking a sauna, those M-class saunas ARE AMAZINGLY RELAXING!!!

Cheers!

Thanks, GWOTS. As I was typing my response, I was beginning to wonder about windows (or lack of them) on the M Class ship Persian Gardens, but I was getting them confused with the sauna areas. I was pretty certain I remembered them from the Radiance Class ships.

BTW, that's one interesting CC name you've got there! Are you simply a RC fan or is there a longer story behind it?

I was so bummed that the Golden didn't have the thermal spa, but the

Star definitely does.

Loved the Thermal Spa on the Sapphire/Diamond.

Didn't care for the layout as much on the Emerald. However, it was nice

to not have a basketball court above the spa on the Emerald:eek:
