Kiera99 Posted June 9, 2008 #51 Share Posted June 9, 2008 I booked through a TA and I was told I could not get a discount for past cruisers. I doubt if they will refund anything if Carnival drops their prices. I'm sure this will apply to Costco booking too.

crusinpsychRN Posted June 9, 2008 #55 Share Posted June 9, 2008 When I try it says "Invalid Agency." What's up?
sms30519 Posted June 9, 2008 #56 Share Posted June 9, 2008 When I try it says "Invalid Agency." What's up? I just tried it on your Legend sailing indicating Tampa as the city and it just said "The promo code you entered is invalid". As others have indicated this means there are no DP3 discounts available for that sailing at this time.
fllady61 Posted June 9, 2008 #57 Share Posted June 9, 2008 the price it gave me was the same price that is showing on CCL site. Of course our cruise is the Halloween cruise. and we actually saved money because it has gone up 100$ since we booked last November. I got it for 569. now it is 649. not too bad. i look for it to go up even more. And we did get an ov upgrade from porthole to window with that. NCTribeFan Posted June 9, 2008 #58 Share Posted June 9, 2008 You do NOT have to log out. I just checked my Fascination cruise. It's showing a PG upgrade, but the price is higher than what I paid (4A for $299 with PG upgrade at time of booking to a 4C). Price is now $30 more per person. Already got the upgrade. Checked another cruise I'm looking at and it says invalid. One more time: PG upgrades are NOT available on EVERY sailing! I've gotten them on 2, not gotten anything on 3 others. sjg1002 Posted June 9, 2008 #70 Share Posted June 9, 2008 I'm new to this so sorry in advance if the question has been answered. I was wondering if there was an OBC that we could get even though the cruise is paid in full? My TA said that we could not get a credit because of that and I just wanted to check on here. Everyone always has a correct answer for me. This is my first cruise so I was not sure! Thank you!
Kiera99 Posted June 9, 2008 #71 Share Posted June 9, 2008 The TA took our Carnival frequent cruiser # but she said our group rate was set in stone. I guess I can contact Carnival to see what we can get.
fllady61 Posted June 9, 2008 #72 Share Posted June 9, 2008 Carnival's group rate is set in stone so to speak. I was going to try a group cruise, and it was 750 pp regardless. but there was the advantage of either an obc for everyone or a meeting room. we found it easier for everyone to book on their own. ALLMYKIDS3 Posted June 9, 2008 #73 Share Posted June 9, 2008 Thanks to all you wonderful, experienced CC people I know to check the price of my cruise. Well, I have been checking and today I noticed both the interior and balcony on our Glory cruise had dropped so I called Carnival. Guess what-we're getting $72.00 per booking, so that's $144.00 OBC in all!!!:D The CVP suggested we use it in the casino, and we may just spend some there, but first DH will get his mojito and I'll have a pina colada. Thanks, guys, you're an awesome bunch and I'm learning so much.Heather Since I booked a 4 day on The Imagination (booked 4/10..sailing 7/10/08) For 4 people I have ...drum roll......$570 OBC :D All from price drops. I check online everyday..it actually just went UP $20 today. The question is how am I going to spend $570 in just 4 days;)

The only difference is that I booked thru carnival (not a TA). I book thru carnival for this very reason. If the price drops, it's easy to get a credit. I would call your TA and have them do a 3way call with you and carnival if possible. Good luck.
