Want to thank all the posters

Recommended Posts

I came across this discussion board quite by accident. I wanted to see if I could find out where everyone is getting their formal dresses. I read a lot of posts, looked at many photos and checked out the stores suggested. I finally found the dress I'm going to wear on our 40th anniversary celebration. I was really disappointed that I couldn't find a new dress, so I'm glad I found this one. Thanks everyone for posting and showing their dresses.

I love Dillard's for formal gowns. Some Dillard's have better selections than others. There is one about 40 min. from me, but I'll make a 90 min. drive to the next one because it's much bigger and they have alot more to choose from. Also...I wait until around the holidays to look at gowns. They always have beautiful gowns then. :)

I'm confused. Did you get a new dress or not?

Happy 40th!

Yes, I found the perfect dress. It fits and I don't have to shorten it ( I have to shorten everything). But I did take the advice and shop suggestions from this board, so it helped with my decisions. I even think my husband will like it.Thanks for the good wishes on our 40th.

Congratulations from us in the UK too! We celebrated our 40th in May this year and are going on our celebratory cruise ( Beijing to Bangkok ) this October. We're having a great year - big family party last weekend as I'm also celebrating my 60th BD - looks like 1968 was a good year!
