montana200024 Posted August 11, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 11, 2008 :p We have bookt 2 cruises on the Aventure may we stay on the ship? i have done many B2B, and yes you can stay on, if you wish, you gather in a room in between the 2 weeks, and someone from the ship comes and get you and brings you to customs and you have to go through them , then they take you back to the ship...not a problem..about 1/2-1 hour of your time.. or you can do an excursion also...that way you have to stand in line with the new passengers getting back on.. the most fun of doing a B2B is watchig the newbies come onto the ship with their mouths open...it is PRICELESS hot tubs are open all day, but most ships drain their pools ... have fun
Krazy Kruizers Posted August 11, 2008 #3 Share Posted August 11, 2008 Welcome to Cruise Critic. We have also done quite a few back-to-back cruises. The evening before the end of the first cruise you will receive a letter indicating where you will report and the time to report the next morning. Usually there will be several people taking back-to-back cruises. Someone from the front office will come and escort you all off the ship to go through immigration. Once the ship has been cleared of all passengers, then you will be escorted back onto the ship. This part varies -- some cruise lines will issue you a new ID card. You will use the old one to get off the ship and the new one to get back on the ship.
paul929207 Posted August 11, 2008 #4 Share Posted August 11, 2008 It depends on the ship and the turnaround port/country. We did a b2b2b on the Star Princess earlier this year. In both turnaround ports (Valpariso, Chile and Acapulco), we were told to go to the gangway anytime during the afternoon to get our new cruise card activated. Nothing else was required. We could stay on the ship the whole day, take a ship excursion or get off on our own.
