Detailed info on cabins and prices is only open to agents.

However, you can find what is available by going to HAL site below, then select cruise you want from dropdowns. Then LOGIN TO PROCEED TO BOOKING.

How do you check this? I'm interested in what is happening for the Rotterdam, Oct. 17, 2009 and don't know where to look.

There are some people who book guarantees and may not have been assigned a cabin yet -- thus they are hoping that the upgrade fairy is working on something for them.

I kind of figured that...but after being in the business for over 13 years, there really is no rhyme or reason to upgrades so I personally just wait til it's assigned (and hope for the best:) ). Too many other things to get excited about for a cruise....

Your sailing, Nov. 16, Westerdam, has many cabins left.

Only sold out is Penthouse Suite.

Most others categories have 5 to 9 cabins left.

Some pretty good deals too.

On a 5-DAY FLASH: NON-REFUNDABLE you can get a VH Balcony for $799.

Sir--again thank you for your answer--in your best guess does that tell you--the ship may not go out full --and there could be a good chance for a upgrade from a guarnteed sy cabin?thanks newbie the c.

Most, if not all, ships sail full. The cruise line will continue to drop prices and add incentives in order to fill cabins. A reduced price cabin is better than an empty cabin.

Hard to tell. I'm booked on the Statendam, Oct, 25, 08, a month ago it had lots of space. Today only Insides are left.

There is only one reason passengers get an upgrade....the cruise line needs your cabin.....they sold more cabins in your class class than they have available. The ship could be half empty ( unlikely) and if they do not need your cabin, chances are, you get an assignment in the cabin class you booked.

If you are open to an "upsell", that is you are willing to pay more ( at a deep discount) for a better cabin class, let your travel agent know that you are open to an upsell from HAL.
