Amy S. Posted November 2, 2008 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2008 We were assuming it was 2 for 10 days but then one of the couples we're meeting up with, (who we met thru this board of course! :D) suggested perhaps since it's 10 days maybe they add a 3rd formal night. Anyone know for sure? We'll be on the Emerald Princess Southern Carrib leaving Feb. 8 for 10 days. Thanks! AMY
rdsqrl Posted November 2, 2008 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2008 Ten-day cruises have 2 formal nights. I think it's up to a 14-day cruise before you have three formal nights. There's a live-from thread begun by "tvaud" from the Emerald on this very cruise (or the other itinerary, but they're both 10-days), and you might read that -- there may be the number of formal nights posted in that thread somewhere. But almost always, it's 2 formal nights for a 10-day cruise.

Woodmnky Posted November 2, 2008 #6 Share Posted November 2, 2008 Does anyone think that it might make a difference that she is cruising over Valentine's Day? I will be cruising over New Years and have wondered the same thing.

No they will still only have 2 formal nights... sometimes they move the formal night to the holiday (ie New Years) but there is still only 2.
