We purchased the cook book on our last cruise and also got the recipe for the unbelievable Lobster bisque (yum) however we have not made 1 recipie. I was curious if anyone else has the book and actually uses it lol. If you did what did you make? and how did it turn out?

I have cooked from the book, it wasn't very easy to follow, found the measurements confusing (how big/heavy is a cup of something)?

For our anniversary i made my wife the following;

Porcini & wild mushroom soup (pg160)

Beef Wellington (pg210)

Chantilly Swans swimming in a lake of Chocolate (pg174)

It was all very nice but i think the book is probably best left on a coffee table.

I have cooked from the cookbook and have no issues with it whatsoever. The recipes for the most part are very nice versions of classic preparations. IT's nice for entertaining in particular.

I suppose that should be prefaced by noting that I'm a fairly capable home cook.
