Question About Captains Party/Past Guest Welcome

So my husband myself and two boys (18 and 13) will be going on the Legend in two weeks. This is around our fifth or sixth carnival cruise and we have never gone to the parties that are offered. We decided that this time we are going to go.

 

My question is simple. You obviously have to bring your invitation to get in to the Past guest party...but do they swipe you card to get in? Or do they scan your card when you order a drink to make sure you are of age? Just want to check and see what the info is so i know how close of an eye i need to keep on my older one.

is a surprisingly informal affair, despite the formal dress code!

 

No-one ever asked me for my card.

Waiters simply circulate around the room with trays of various drinks

from which you choose what you like! ;)

No, they don't swipe your card at either party. And at both, they just have waiters walking around serving trays of drinks. All of the parties I've been to have been in the big showroom so everyone is just sitting there anyway and I assume you'd be sitting with your family to keep an eye on them, there isn't much 'walking around' except for coming and going.
