Pre Cruise Hotels in Barcelona

Recommended Posts

I stayed at the hotel Arts for 4 days and must say I really enjoyed it! Beautiful, spacious suite with breath taking views over the port and Barcelona. House keeping was good, the suite was very clean and kept clean twice a day! The staff is really friendly and helpfull, although some were very young and inexperienced. The pool was amazing and the staff at the pool very friendly. If you really want to relax book a massage or facial at the Six sense spa. I thought the location was just perfect, nice at the beach and NOT busy with traffic. I would not like to stay in the busy streets of Barcelone. And for just a few euro's you can always take a cab if you don';t feel like walking. As for the comments on the prices on the drinks at the Hotel. You know that if you stay in a five star hotel in Europe prices are going to be 'upmarket'. I was really disgusted with a group of Americans that refused to pay the bill at the Hotel bar because they thought that is was too high. They tore the bill in pieces!! Lack of respect and no manners. If you can't afford it :go to the bars at the marina!!! For the nightlife: the casino is just around the corner, for cocktail ask the concierge for the adress for the bar called Dry Martini. Nightclubs: Opium just around the corner of the hotel or Luxz de Gaz in the center of Barcelone. I will come back again to this beautiful Hotel

Go to the box at the top of this board of questions that says "search this forum". Click and then type in Barcelona hotels and you'll get more reading than you could dream! If you just scan down the first question board about 25 posts, there is a post with 144 replies.

Also go to tripadvisor.com and look at the top maybe 20 hotels. Many are popular here.

You need to look at a map of Barcelona to pick out what area you want to stay. If ayou are near Las Rambla, the pedistrian street, you will be in walking distance of many sites. And an easy trip by cab to the ship.

we were happy with the Apsis Atrium Palace. Very easy to get to on public bus from airport (3 block walk from last stop), and location is terrific. free internet available. they give a discount if you bring a copy of your marriage certificate
